The Olive Cottage was a lovely setting for two people to enjoy a week in Guerneville. Nicely appointed, beautiful location. Somewhat noisy neighbors at times but I think that's because it was bear week.

It's true: our town does get really lively during Lazy Bear week! The best thing about Olive Cottage is the location: the home is tucked away in a mellow, sunny neighborhood, but it's also just a short walk into town for an iced mocha and people watching, or to join in on one of the many events Guerneville hosts throughout the year. Glad you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to see you back at the River next summer!

The location is great... just a quick jaunt downhill (uphill back) into town. Huge kitchen and plenty of space in the cottage. Recommend you stay more than two nights to take advantage of the accommodations. Our trip was too short to really enjoy the amenities and take advantage of the place. Recommend the Korbel tour, which is just down the road.

This house is much larger than it appears on-line and it is in a very nice part of the town in a quiet neighbourhood. I would deffinitely stay at Olive Cottage again if available and have no hestitation in recommending it to a couple or 2 couples/people with children. It is very well appointed and lacked nothing for our 7 night stay.

I enjoyed the home. It does not have a gas grill as advertised. The layout is a little odd but it works fine for one person or a couple. I loved the olive trees. Overall it was a great experience!

This home is best suited to couples, a single person, or small family since it's a one bedroom home. And I just double checked all our listings, the BBQ is listed as a charcoal every where I could find it mentioned... I'm sorry if it's listed somewhere else incorrectly!

We stayed a weekend and had a great time. The bed slept the best. We brought the dogs and they loved the neighborhood walks.
We ate out and never used the kitchen but it was well stocked with everything you would need.

Loved the cottage. Russian River Rentals did a great job getting me set up and in the rental. The house was immaculate and really a pleasure to stay in. It worked perfect for us as we were able to walk to town and the river.

Olive Cottage is a wonderful retreat for a couple, very relaxing. We live in San Francisco and this summer was mostly fog, so going to the Russian River area was a must to get some sun and warmth. We found it in Guerneville. The cottage is a short walk up hill from the town center. The cottage was well cleaned. We spent most of our time on the spacious deck and did most of our cooking there on the b-b-q. The only glitch at the cottage was some difficulty with the TV (the owner's daughter fixed it up). The cottage has room for 4 but that would be a little too crowded, IMO. A second glitch was the lockbox at the real estate office. It took three trys to open the box to get the cottage key. Olive Cottage is a great place for a week or so.

Olive Cottage does have great deck space! I'm sorry the TV was wonky for you, but it was fixed... Did you call the office when it started to not work? We try to get someone out as soon as possible when something goes awry! It helps that the owner lives just across the street too! And for the key lock box, we have an after hours emergency number too... I'm sorry it was difficult. I haven't had any other complaints about it, but we'll check it too!

We had a wonderful time at the Olive Cottage. It was the perfect location for a meeting with my mother who had driven down from Washington to meet my wife and I. The service was fabulous. The cottage was simple and wonderful in a way that allowed us to relax and spend quality time with family.
