LA ZAPATERIA
In the middle of the historic center of Chio, next to the church, is located the traditional Canarian village-house La ZapaterÃa house, built 250 - 300 years ago.
The village is surrounded by the mountains of Tejina and overlooking the sea with the neighboring islands of La Gomera, Hierro and La Palma.
La ZapaterÃa was the house of the shoemaker (zapaterÃa) of the community and has beautiful wooden coverings and floor.
