Description from the owner
Schoolhouse No. 10 is a fully renovated 18th century schoolhouse in scenic southern Vermont. Located on a country road in a very special neighborhood, the Schoolhouse offers a romantic private getaway for one or two couples, or a creative art spa for friends who want to come share an historic cottage and learn to make a book or album in nearby Otter Pond Bindery. Surrounded by maple trees, the Schoolhouse features a wraparound deck with hot tub. Walk out the front door and and find miles of hiking trails, or take a short drive to nearby ponds or rivers for boating/kayaking, fishing or swimming.

Beverly, MassachusettsPerfect for a relaxing getaway
Left on 09/26/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Schoolhouse No. 10 was the perfect setting for a relaxing week-long getaway in august. You feel as though you're deep in the woods - you see stars every night, even the Milky Way - but the amenities are modern, the decor is charming, the beds are comfortable, the breakfast fixings (included) are delicious, and the hot tub on the deck adds a note of luxury. There's plenty of space for two couples. Though the setting atop Packer Corners Hill feels woodsy and remote, you're really only 10 miles from Brattleboro, with its array of restaurants and shops, and an easy drive to Lake Spofford in southwestern New Hampshire. For us, this was a nostalgic vacation, since Brattleboro was our home for many years. But if you're a newcomer to the area, Schoolhouse No. 10 lets you enjoy the best of southern Vermont in comfort. We'll certainly return, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
