The rooms were spacious and beautiful. Unfortunately, the cupboards must have been recently remodeled and some shelves were covered with sawdust. I cleaned the unit daily and left it very clean but still had to pay a very high cleaning fee. I think the fee should be prorated after the unit is inspected. The code was changed on the door prior to our departure at 9:30AM, so, if the door would have closed as we were moving out, we would not have been able to re-enter to get our remaining items. I loved the unit and location and would definitely stay there again!

They made it very easy to do late check in and were extremely curtious when I went into the actual office. Very informative about events going on for The Shrimp Festival as well as other local things to do. Will use Bender Realty and The Sandpiper again!! Great way to spend my Birthday!!!

This was our first time to gulf shores and this rental far exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had access to the beach. I would recommend this rental to anyone! The staff at the realty office were nice from beginning to end.

We stayed a total of two nights, the first night was good, but the second night was not so much. The air conditioner went out the second night and the people who were fixing the air conditioner must have left our door open, and when we returned to our property, there were bugs crawling all over the ceiling and walls.

I do want to give you some feedback on the home that hopefully will be constructive comments. I would not choose to stay in 9C next year unless the mattress on the queen bed in the master bedroom is replaced. It is worn out. My husband slept on it but I rolled to the middle since he is larger than me. My two grandchildren and I played 'musical beds' on the sofa and the two twin beds.
One cleaning note, the bathroom had stains on the floor when we got there as though it had not been mopped.
I wouldn't complain, because we had a very good vacation and we love the Sandpiper. However, if I were the owner of the condo I would want to know because these things might reduce rental opportunities. I work for a bank, and I know that if we don't know what's wrong, we can't fix it so we like to get feedback too.Response from Bender Realty - 10/31/2009

The owner has replaced the queen mattress and box springs (foundation) in the master bedroom, and new foundations were placed in the guest bedroom in October, 2009.

Nice facility. Not all rooms have gulf view especially those close to the highway. Facility is clean and well maintained. Great value for the price.

As Usual, You guy's made our week the best. The condo was perfect the weather was perfect, and mostly our wedding on the 9th was perfect. we'll see you all again next year to celebrate our one year anniversary. thanks again for all you do to make peoples lives a little more enjoyable. I have stayed at Sandpiper for 3 years and have never had a condo unit that was so outdated, dirty seeming and things that did not work. There were odors and large winged ants in the bedroom at least 2 nights. I love Sandpiper but will never stay in 9C again. Also, it would be helpful and I heard more than one guest say it if there was a fan or SOMETHING in the elevator, its always dreadfully hot and smelly in there.

We were not pleased with the security guard at all. He felt like it was his job to seek out trouble, going so far as to converse with children about possible wrong doings, knocking on doors, etc. He also carried a firearm, which we find totally unneccessary in this environment. We feel their job is to protect our property & take action if there is any violence going on. We have been vacationing here for 25+ yrs this was by far the worst experience involving security.

The security guard mentioned was overly aggressive. Sandpiper has a policy of not allowing security to carry firearms. The guard in question is no longer working at the Sandpiper.

We have stayed at the Sand Piper several times over the the years and have never been disappointed. The complex is always clean, the pool sparkling, and the beach beautiful.We have stayed in several of the condos, and each one comes to feel just like a home away from home. The Sandpiper is also near shopping and restaruants. Have a great stay!!!
