The weather and atmosphere in Gulf Shores cannot be beat, and the staff at Bender is friendly, helpful and professional. Overall this was a wonderful vacation. However, there are concerns regarding the condo unit and Island Royale in general. This unit needs new fixtures in bathrooms and the rusty racks over the toilets should be removed. The bathtubs have rust stains and the shower curtain liners should be replaced. There were dirty pots and pans in the cupboards and the silverware drawer had food particles mixed in with the silverware. The unit was not cleaned well. The floors had dirt piled in the corners, and there was dried urine behind toilet and on toilet seats. I needed to clean the condo myself. The very high cleaning fee certainly is not justified.
As for the grounds, there were cigarette butts around the pools, indoor and outdoor, even first thing in the morning. I do not know that there was much attention paid to cleaning. I was also surprised to see so much garbage on the beaches. In years past, the beaches were always cleaned on a regular basis.
The only other concern is the amount of noise all through the night. In past years, I do not remember having "spring breakers" causing issues. But this year we had pounding music all night long and a lot of smoking on the balconies making it difficult to sit out and enjoy the view from our condo. -

My husband and I took our two boys (ages 5 & 8) for Spring Break. They LOVED the condo, pool are & hot tub! We loved it too. It really felt more like home than a rental. We plan on making this an annual vacation! The beach area was so nice. We rented chairs on the beach from Ike's for the day. Other than the cool weather & the FEW unruly College Spring Breakers (in other areas of town not at the condo) it was perfect!!
There was plenty of hot water & towels.
TV's in every room was nice in the evenings. The patio & view were amazing. I'm really missing falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
I'm actually trying to get the rest of the fam to go with us next year.
Bender mgmt is awesome. They tell you everything you need to know before you go & are super helpful & flexible with check in & check out. Late check in was super easy! THIS is the place to be in G'S. the elevators add a nice touch too! The master bed was amazingly comfortable! No complaints from the kids either. You barely heard any outside noise & couldn't hear your neighbors from inside the condo. Laundry room was nice & big. That was our stripping station when we came in from the beach. -

We had a late check in so we couldn't really do much about our messy room until the next day. Even though we were asked if housekeeping needed to be sent to take care of things, our daughters had already taken care of it. My opinion is that if you charge $100 for housekeeping then it should've been done. Other than that, our stay was great! We were right on the beach and it was like a home away from home.

This is about the 5th time we have gone with Benders for our vacation in the gulf and they have been great. We had one minor issue and it was taken care of very quickly. This is the 2nd time that we have stayed in Island Royale 903 and it has been great. The condo worked out great for us and the location was great also. Having most everything within walking distance was great. The company who does the property management did a very good job as well as we saw someone there on a daily basis doing something to keep things clean. Benders made check-in and out very easy as they are very close to this property. I will continue to use Benders as my go-to rental co. for my future gulf vacations. If you want to make you beach lounging easier make sure to rent a lounge set (from Ikes) as you will not have to worry about dragging chairs to the beach and they are set up for you you and they are always checking on you. Loved staying at the property the last weekend in Aug. Very affortable. The beach was clean and there was plenty of room to enjoy ourselves without being bothered by other people. The pool and hot tubs were great. Condo was large, well stocked, clean and
comfortable. Loved the location because it is away from heavy traffic and just 5 min away from all the attractions. Will return to this property again! -

Perfect location in Gulf Shores, AL. Property is kept up fairly well. Some of the ammenities in the condo seemed a little cheap, such as the sheets on the bed not fitting and constantly coming off the corners and were not very comfortable, but I can understand
it is a rental property. I will definitely look into staying in this condo again next time I plan a vacation to Gulf Shores. -

we enjoyed our stay but was less than happy about the swimming pool, it is very small and never in the sun so it was cold. The elevators did not work off and on the entire time we were there. Also, the trash was piled up at the end of the boardwalk for several days. For the price to rent a condo now it looks as if at least the trash could be taken out.

The unit was absolutely gorgeous. The property and unit were very clean and well-maintained. The room was a bit tight for 6 people (I like my personal space), but the view from the balcony made it all worth it. Additional balcony exit from the master bedroom was a nice touch. Fitness room was great, and I liked how the pool was shaded most of the day. You couldn't ask for a nicer bunch of people at Bender Realty. Excellent service--would highly recommend this condo to anyone. Very satisfied. :)

Island Royale 903 was a great place to spend our daughters' spring break. We walked out right out to the beach each day. The beach was clean and beautiful. There were restaurants nearby and shopping in Foley. We had great time and the price of the condo rental was very reasonable.
The Bender staff was very helpful in finding a condo that suited our needs.
We will be back and will definitely call Bender Realty for our beach front condo, next spring. -

Very nice location and overall a good stay. The balcony is wonderful for watching the ocean and short walk to the beach was easy.
This unit showed some wear and could use a good deep cleaning. The pool is a little small and is shaded most of the day. -

It started out great! Condo was great until arriving from shopping we smelled an electrical burning and the condo was full of haze. Apparently, upon sniffing out the source, the ice machine burned up. Being on the 9th floor was a little unnerving for 5 ladies because of the kitchen being near the excape route--the front door. We spoke to management and the realtor who told us they would send out someone in the morning (if we survived the night). No one showed in the morning and all food items in the freezer were thawed. Very disappointing for all of us. No offer to move us to another condo nor to replace our food items, nor did anyone sleep well. Thank God, the place didn't catch on fire. I wouldn't be writing this review, someone would be writing our obits. Burn, Baby, Burn

The condo was really nice and everything I expected. My only complaint was the kitchen sink was a little moldy, and I had to buy some tilex to clean it. I would most definately recommend it to anyone. Everything you would ever need in the kitchen was provided. Plenty of linens are provided as well. Great location, wonderful stay! Would definately stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

Spent 4 nights with my sister and niece. Loved it. Only down fall was the pool was in the shade most of the day, which ended up being a good thing after too much sun on the beach. Would definitly stay here again. Bender Realty was wonderful. Well worth the 10 hour drive.

The main thing we didn't like was the location of the pool. There was barely any room to walk around the pool and it was too shady. It would have been nice to have some vending machines in the building somewhere. The elevators didn't seem to work properly most of the time. Overall though the stay was still great. The room was great.

The unit could have been cleaned better. Everything was very dusty. I just assumed that it hadn't been stayed in for awhile. Also, the interned worked for a few days and then we couldn't get any connection. It wasn't a big deal for my husband or I but our teenager would have liked to been online at night to talk to friends. Otherwise our stay was wonderful! We even enjoyed the storm rolling in from the Gulf.

The only thing I didn't like about this property was the pool is really small. SInce we spent most of our time on the beach it wasn't bad. This particular unit, I loved the fact that the owners had a book that everyone had written beach memories in. So it was nice reading about people falling in love, etc. etc.

We were very satisfied with the condo and its condition - very clean and beautifully decorated. It was the nicest condo we have rented from the internet in over 10 years. We loved Gulf Shores although the weather was cooler than we anticipated (March 1-8). We would definitley recommend this condo to a friend or stay there again ourselves.
