Our vacation was very enjoyable for the most part. The only drawback was maintenance being done in the morning (replacing boards on the decking) very noisy. Accomodations were great! Clean and modern.

Our accomodations were very nice. I have to say that I have seen the Beach Sand in much better condition than it was this year. There seemed to be a lot of broken Sea shells in the sand and it was hard on the feet. It seemed to me that the Beach needed to be raked out. Other than that our stay was very nice thank you. I do remember that the beautiful sand and the texure o f the sand was unforgettable. Maybe next year.

Very nice condo! Please make sure people know not to smoke in the condos as ours smelled like smoke when we arrived and for several days after that. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and the condo was very well stocked!

Washing Machine overflowed. Bender was there to clean up within 15 minutes. DVD player kept cutting off. Again, Bender was there the next morning to check the DVD player. Had a great time, see ya next year.

Great condo--clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. I wish the decks were non-smoking like the units, because sometimes we got a hint of smoke smell seeping in, but that's really my only complaint. The Sandpiper is a great complex and 6C is a great unit!

Our stay at Sandpiper was again a wonderful experience! We've been coming to Gulf Shores for over 20 years & stayed at Sandpiper many times, but this was the nicest unit ever! It was so clean, well-equipped & nicely decorated,that it felt like our home away from home...Even though it was not the closest unit to the beach,we will still choose this unit again when we return, because it was still a great view AND so nice!

Checking in was difficult because when i arrived after hours to call about getting my key, the person on the phone did not have any idea how I to open the lock box of which lockbox was even mine. The process to get the key took about 15 minutes standing there on the phone trying to get the key.

We got the name of this place through a friend to plan a 4 day stay on the beach while visiting my daughter in the area. It was a great location, right on the beach, great view and accomodations. walked to the beach in the morning and back to condo for lunch, back to beach and then out for seafood for dinner. Very relaxing for everyone!

Sandpiper is a very charming condo complex in a great location. Tired of high rises so will be back hopefully soon. 6C is beautifully decorated and very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Only complaint was lots of seaweed on the beach but Mother Nature had made a visit before we got there and the city had not had time to remove. Gulf Shores is great!

Our Condo was very nice, but I was very disappointed with dirty beach area. The beach had Huge amounts of what appeared to be brown seagrass all up and down the beach as far as the eye could see. We were told by T. V. adds that the beaches were clean, not so.

Thanks for staying with us. Sea grasses are a natural occurring phenomenon and it does reach our shores from time to time. Of course the tv ads are referring to the BP oil spill in 2010, from which our beaches have been free of for quite some time. Thanks for your comments and hope you will join us at the beach again in the near future.

I wish we'd known that we needed to bring trash bags, dishwasher powder and even salt and pepper. The couple next door to us said the same thing. Other than that, we had a great time.

I love the Sandpiper! The rooms are generally clean but they never seem to clean under the furniture or beds & since I have small kids they find gross things that past guests have left!

The individual condo was awesome with an excellent view. It was clean, well maintained, and up to date. Bender should make the check-in time a little earlier than 4pm for those folks that are driving from far out. I drove overnight so the kids could sleep and arrived hours before check-in. I understand that the rules were set in place before I got there, however, it would have been nice to get there, check in, and relax after a 12 hour drive without feeling like we were wasting the whole first day of vacation.
With that being said, I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'm already planning the next trip. -

We really enjoyed our stay but of course cleanliness can always be a little better. Light fixtures, floors, and dusting for me could have been cleaned more. The renovating is coming along great!

We enjoyed our stay at Sandpiper very much. There's no substitute for watching dolphins play in the gulf on the day after Christmas! We are looking for a vacation home, and Sandpiper is definitely on our short list. Thank you for a lovely Christmas.

This is an attractive condo, a bit overdecorated. The double bed in the master bedroom is not as comfortable as king-sized in most other Sandpiper condos. Not enough drawer space! Wicker shelves in that bedroom too crowded.
We prefer 4C with a king-sized master and 2 double beds in 2nd bedroom.
Nice refrigerator space! -

We quit coming to the Sandpiper two years ago, because we felt that the rates continued to increase but the condo's were not being refurbished and updated. After two years we thought we would go on the internet to see if any of the condo's were refurbished and updated. To our pleasent surprise it looked like there were some updates that were made, so we took a chance and revisited the Sandpiper, and we were very pleased and satisfied with our condo and rebooked for 2011. We had a great time.

We really loved 6C. We have stayed at the Sandpiper for several years and 6C is the nicest condo we've stayed in. The owners has done an excellent job on decorating. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, it was just perfect!

The elderly woman security officer was very rude and unprofessional... There were several groups being very loud one paticular evening. She approached everyone that she could find and told them "this is your final warning" the paticualar group I was with was amassed of 6-7 adults ranging in age from 37-65 years of age. If she would have taken 5 minutes to asses the situation the groups being "loud / rowdy" would have been easy to pick out. Instead she tried to bully everyone she came across.... and made everyone feel terribly uncomfortable....

Would like to see some improvements to the pool area. It is very small considering the number of guests at the complex. Also, have been coming to the Sandpiper for years...not happy about all the additional fees (cleaning, booking fee, parking) It is pretty pricey considering the age and overall condition of the property.

The only complaint was that I heard the trash trunk every morning. I am also disappointed that there still is no recycling available. It would be very nice to be able to take our pop cans to a bin where they would be recycled.

We had problems with the dryer quiting all the time. The people at Bender where great about getting someone into fix it. There where ants by the sink area. Overall the condition and updates where wonderfull. I would highly recommend staying at the Sandpiper.

We loved the location - didn't like our condo. Old, dirty, poorly decorated. Had a broken lock, burned out light bulbs, food-encrusted small appliances, dirty comforters, crumbs in all of the drawers in the kitchen. Towels were paper thin, sheets were paper thin, refrigerator froze half of our food, ice maker didn't work. Too bad.... pass this along to the owner!
