My family vacation was very nice. The condo was perfect for our family of 7 and we never ran out of hot water. The balcony has a perfect ocean view and we even saw dolphins swimming in the morning. Many grocery stores are nearby including Wal-mart. A few things could be improved such as the shower curtains were ripped, the bath tub could use a scrub, and the carpet needed a shampoo. Overall we enjoyed staying here.

I love staying at Gulf Shores and I love Bender Realty.I would never go with another rental company.They are the friendliest,the best priced and always take care of anything you need.Our condo was not bad,we had three bedrooms and three baths which was great.I think the condo could be a little updated and it was not the cleanest and also they could of offered better utensils in the kitchen and maybe add another TV in the second bedroom.I would recommend this property to other people and I would stay again.

We would not stay here again! We have been to the gulf many times and this was the worst condo we have ever stayed in ! It was dated, dirty and probably not a very safe place to stay. Most of the electrical outlets did not work (and we were told by the main. person from Bender he had requested permission from the owner to have a electrician come to fix already at some point in the past). The bedding was old, torn and the mattresses looked like they were 20 years old. The drapes were falling down because the rods were falling out of the sheet rock. There was a recliner in the living room that needs to be thrown in the dumpster! We moved it one evening and the floor underneath was NASTY! TV remotes had to be re-programmed The doors going out the balcony in one of the bedrooms were falling off the hinges. One almost fell on my daughter! Carpet is old and nasty, it at least could be cleaned. I CAN NOT BELIEVE WE PAID $1800 FOR THIS PLACE! I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD GET A REFUND OF AT LEAST THE "CLEANING FEE".Someone needs to take care of some repairs before anyone else stays there!

This was an ideal place for our group. Everyone got to do their own thing, beach,pool,sunrises, and sunsets. Everything was right there at 1506 Surf Side Shores. Bender was one of the nicest,and easiest Gulf Shores Realtors to work with. You have got to try Slacky Jacks to eat it was great. to our family Gulf Shores is our second home. Will use Bender again. The staff was wonderful,and so was Alice.

We have stayed with Bender Realty for many years and have also stayed in this same condo.
However, we were very disappointed in the unit we had this year. To begin with we had to wait for the unit to be cleaned. Our wait was about one hour after check-in time. When we did get into the condo, it was far from clean. The shower curtains all had mold and milldew on them. The carpet in the front bedroom had not been cleaned as there were still kleenex and food under the tablecloth from previous stays. Also there was a recliner in the main room that was filthy. We still had a wonderful stay but did not feel that our unit was clean. We also felt that the bathroom had not been cleaned properly although the commode did have a paper across but by the end of the week it really looked bad. We still look forward to staying with Bender Realty as the reservation personnel are great to go the extra mile to make your stay pleasent. We did not contact Bender because we did not want cleaning people in the unit after we carried our bags up. We did have a wonderful time but did feel our unit was not up to par. -

My stay was quite enjoyable. It fit 6 people very comfortably. The view of the gulf was fantastic! The furniture is beautiful, my only complaint is the recliner seemed to be broken. I also thought the rug in the kitchen was quite drab and didn't go with the decor at all. Only 2 out of the 3 rooms had televisions, it would have been nice if they all did. A big plus is that the condo had 3 bathrooms!!! Full size! So nobody had to share a bathroom. However the bedroom I was staying in had a very small shower, only 1 person. I tried to shower with my 2 year old but it was impossible without getting soap in her eye and I'm a petite person. Also it had a shower curtain which did nothing to keep the water off the floor. They definitely need to invest in a door of some sort or at the least a thick rug. My 2 year old slipped and fell Atleast 5 times and we had to use clean towels to soak up the water do we were constantly washing then to ensure we had clean towels. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would stay there again. And I also cannot say enough good things about the team of people that we spoke with at Bender, from booking the room to arriving to check out they were always VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. You can tell they truly care about your stay and not just another passer through I will always be using bender everytime I come to the gulf. Customer Service is stellar!!

We enjoyed our vacation! The condo was great for us, our 2 children and their families. Each family enjoyed their private bedroom & bath. The beach was beautiful, and the kids enjoyed the pool. My only complaint is some of the bedding was worn and I thought it was outrageous to pay $13.50 to replace a lost parking pass we needed for the last 2 days of our stay. TUPELO is the correct spelling of our hometown.

Condo definitely needed upgrades. Some furniture was in very poor condition. Cookware was poor quality. 3 bedrooms with 3 baths was convenient, but it was the "least nice" condo we've ever stayed in in Gulf Shores.

While the condo we stayed in definitely needs some updating we enjoyed our stay. We had a couple of problems (remote in the living room wasn't working, uncomfortable beds) it wasn't anything that we felt the need to call about. The location of the condo
is great! We've stayed at Surfside Shores in the past and I'm sure we will in the future. The people at Bender Realty were great to work with. -

beach location was great easy access to beach pool. Just issues with the furnishings they are pretty run down we were afraid they would break while we were there. Concern about the balconey railing with a 2 year old the opening between the rails (6" versus 4") would have let them fall through had to really watch while outside on balconey.

Great stay and location! Only complaint was the lack of TV's. A TV is needed in the third bedroom, and all TV's need to be upgraded. Internet access was ok, but could be better.

I was extremely disappointed with this property. The amenities in the kitchen left much to be desired. The poor quality of the pots did not allow for us to cook. The dishwasher worked periodically. The toaster only toast one side of the bread. There was a mop, but not a mop bucket. The appearance of the condo was old and antiquated. For one thing we could not watch our DVD's because the condo only has VHS recorders. Who uses VHS tapes anymore. The kids really were bummed out by that. The furniture, namely the chairs on the balcony were of poor quality. My son who is average weight fell because the chair cracked. Overall, I was not pleased at all with this unit. We tried to make the best of our week in Gulf Shores, but with so much disappointment in Surf Side Shores, we were not happy vacationers. Its sad because I have been coming to Gulf Shores for over 7 years and have really had great condos. This one sure needs to be taken off the market and remodeled.

This condo was a great rental at a great price. This was a girls trip and it was very convenient to have 3 bathrooms. I will advise anyone that is renting this property to bring extra toilet paper as only 1 roll per bathroom is provided. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again. Also, this property did not have DVD players...only VHS players.

Our condo was a three bedroom, and yes there were three bedrooms, but there was barely enough room for three people to walk around. It was too small with too much stuff. The master bath was a joke - you couldn't stand in front of the mirror if the closet was open. The furniture was old and worn and not very comfortable. The carpet needs replacing (hard to tell if it was filthy or just stained - but it was definitely worn. The TVs (all three of them) were so old that a DVD player could not be hooked up. You couldn't sell those TVs at a garage sale for $10. They did have VCR's we just didn't think to get the VCR tapes out of moth balls. The entire condo was dusty. The refridgerator made LOTS of noise. The electrical outlet on the balcony did not work. I probably wouldn't stay there again if it was free!

The oil ruined it for us. It is such a shame. We would have stayed the entire time if it were not for the oil. The kids wanted to go into the water and hunt for crabs on the beach. Let us pray that some how all the oil is gone by next summer.

Great price for a 3bdrm 3 bath condo-plenty of room for everyone. The bedrooms could use ceiling fans to circulate the air better--it got a little stuffy. Also, closet door in back bdrm broken, and way too much mold in the master bath. The living room was pretty dark--the lampshades are red so it was hard to read in the evening. Otherwise, the location, pool, and everything else was great.

The condo was mostly clean.Actually the carpet was the only dirty really needs replacing--allthe vacuuming inthe world (which was befor e we arrived) would not help the carpet. Any problem we encountered was dealt with and solved mmediately kudos to Bender Realty who were patient and very accomodating.There is SPECIAL personell there

I was over all very pleased with our condo. I do however feel that EVERY single room absolutely needs a ceiling fan, or atleast access to box fans- we went and purchased two ourselves. The stay would have been more pleasant had we had one. I read in an ealier post about the Master bedroom closet door not working-- it is still broken. If it has been mentioned before- then measures to fix it should be taken- its a door- not exspensive piece to replace at all. I also noticed that the floors were not very clean. There were peices of paper and such in the carpet in the Master bedroom. Again--pride in your work equals a happy guest. The door in the fridge was broken-- didnt realize how important that was until there wasnt one-- there is a piece of duck tape taped where that bar should be-- not really that helpful. The Grill area is nice a big-- there should be some sort of a canopied area where guest and get under away from the heat of grill and sun, with maybe a picknic table area to eat or help prepare foods. The pool area was nice. We went at a time when the beach wasnt very crowded! It was great!!

We rented this 3br/ 3 bth condo so that everyone traveling with us would have their own bedroom and bathroom. This was the greatest convenience of all. The condo itself is older however the owners have done a great job decorating it to help make it look more modern. The master bathroom tub could use more grout work. Overall, we were pleased with the condo and location. Bender Realty were very nice and helpful. If I don't stay at this exact condo again in the future I will definately use Bender Realty for my next booking.

I think that u need to tell people that you only accept one credit card. I did read everything but it isnt clear, I didnt take it as that you can only use 1 credit card so that needs to be told up front by the person that is taking the reservation. I would not recommend using your realty office to reserve any property because of the fact that you only accept one credit card. I didnt understand why your credit card company won't allow you to accept more than one credit card because you finish paying the amount when you check in. It just didn't make any sense and I almost had to cancel my reservation due to this.

Our family has spent our last 10 summer vacations in GS. This has been the first time we have been disappointed in the property we stayed in. The Surfside Shores property overall was very nice, very neat and overall very clean and comfortable. However the unit (1506) we stayed in should not have been rented out until some much needed repairs had been made. The unit was not clean, there were dirty dishes stored in the cabinets. The showerhead in the front BA was broken, there were no racks in the refigerator door. The sink in the MBA was broken and rusted. The door on the 2nd BR closet was broken which made it difficult to use. The BA in the front bedroom smelled so mildewed that we could not stand to use it. There was no food storage space in the kitchen. With a family of 7 not having use of one bathroom and no storage space in the kitchen was very inconvenient. The furniture over all was nice and very comfortable but the patio furniture was broken, dirty and in need of replacement. The Bender staff that we dealt with upon check in and check out were very pleasant and helpful. However we do not feel as if we got what we paid for in this unit. There were other units on the property that were much nicer and actually worth what we paid for this one. We felt very misled and felt as if we did not get what we paid for. I am not sure I would recommend Bender Realty as the pictures on the website of this unit do not represent the actual condition of the unit. Again, we really liked the property overall but were VERY disappointed in the unit.

The amenities were lacking (poor lighting, lack of fans, clocks, not very good balcony furniture, VCR remote not working/no DVD player) and the kitchen was not as clean as we would like. The refrigerator door shelves did not have "shelve guards/bars"). The kithen cabinets need to be repainted/remodeled. The location is good but the view to the west is limited. The folks at Bender were very helpful. Overall, we had a good time even though the condo was very basic and needs to be fixed up. Other than the kitchen, it was clean and there were no bugs.

Everything looked nice except a closet door was off and laying against the wall and wall was torn from it. Coffeepot was broken, so had to boil water for coffee. No blankets in any three bedrooms. Brackets on the refrigerator door were all broken off and could not put anything in the door. Had trouble with washer and dryer bouncing all over the place and making a loud noise. Realty did give us a new coffeepot and blankets. We enjoyed ourself and had a great view from front and back of condo. Even though we had a few problems the realty was real nice. Appreciated that.

We were very disappointed with this was cheaply furnished.The lighting was extremely poor,we had to buy reading lights just so we could read in the bedrooms.There was no DVD players and we found the unit extremely dated and uncomfortable for the price we paid. we voiced our complaints to the realty company at the time but it fell on deaf ears. This experience completely put us off Gulf Shores and this year is the first time we didn't Spring Break there in 15 years.
