Our room was very nice with updated decor and appliances. The location was convenient with two small grocery's close. The beds were very comfortable! We have two young children and the room was perfect for us.

Condo 7A was dusty...did not like the furniture. Most disappointing was pool was NOT heated (that is until a day before we left and the OWNERS were coming in for annual mtg. Walls way too thin...heard every step that was taken right above us-starting around 5:30am. Never come again in September...nothing to do but shop and eat.

I do not like mandatory travel insurance and 30 day payment in advance.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sandpiper greatly and unit 7A was in the perfect location - the only better unit would be right on the end, but this is the next one up so the view was great! This is our 2nd stay at the Sandpiper and as long as we keep coming to Gulf Shores, we won't look for another condo. completely satisfied!

Had a great vacation & 7A is a beautiful unit. The only complaint we had was the king size mattress needs to be replaced or suggest a memory foam pad be put on the bed because there are permanent indentations, so it felt like you were sleeping in a hole. We even tried rotating the mattress but it didn't help.

The only complaint that I have is about my fridge. Our fridge was not cold at all, when the maintence man was in the condo right next to ours I asked him to look at my fridge because it wasn't cold. He didn't go look at it, but told me to turn it down so it can catch up with itself and it should be better. So 24 hours later and now 48 hours with a warm fridge I called the office and the maintence man was sent out. My fridge was eventually fixed but I lost milk and some food due to this. I do have a recommendation- the last night there we had to call security around 130 am because of a suspicious lady roaming around the complex asking for wire hangers and cigarettes. I couldn't find the number to security anywhere in the condo. I knew the name of the company from what I saw on their badges earlier in the week so I looked it up online. The situation was handled beautifully and quickly. I would suggest having that number posted somewhere, maybe on the fridge??

We had a great vacation stay. The rental was updated and very nice. Our only issue was we had cockroaches in the kitchen area. Please make sure the owners know about this issue and keep the pest inspections up to date. Bender was very prompt about sending a pest control person to the unit to do a inspection.

I have been staying at the Sandpiper for, I believe, some 24 years (maybe more) now. It seems to never age. Ya'll do an outstanding job of keeping up the property. I, personally, love everything about the location. I, especially, appreciate how accommodating Bender's staff is. I don't know whether there is a better place to stay in GS since I've never had to look for another. Thank you, Bender Realty, and if loyalty means anything to you -- you have 2 loyal customers in myself and my buddy that nearly always shares this trip w/ me.

The only issues with the room was that several light bulbs were out, the fold out couch was still made up from the previous guest, and the front door knob was loose.

Sandpiper is a great family spot. Small and private, there was no crowded beach and very quiet. Condo was nice, but definitely needed to be cleaned better. Besides that, it was very nice! Location is near everything you could want.

We have been coming to Gulf Shores and staying at the Sand Piper for many years. We love the condos and we love the family environment of the place. We are able to relax and enjoy our time at the beach. It is very convenient to shops and restaurants. We have recently added a new member to our family, and we are looking forward to bringing him every year and introducing him to our tradition of coming to Gulf Shores, and staying at the best condo available, the Sandpiper!!

We were very pleased that the beach was so beautiful despite the oil spill. I have been spreading the word to everyone back in Kentucky that if they can get down there to go. Now that schools are in session, it will tough, but I would recommend going to Gulf Shores and the Sandpiper to anybody that can get there!!

The ONLY problem were the beds! I can sleep most anywhere and do, as I do a lot of travel in my work but I awakened almost crippled each morning from the beds (I would not normally complain but my partner in the other bedroom suffered the same problem) We thought it noteworthy of bringing to your attention.
Otherwise, it was super as always -- we've been staying at this property for some 20 plus years. (never had this bed issue before!) -

The condo was roomy enough and layed out nicely; however, there was mold on the shower curtain liner in the master, long black hair on the master bathroom floor, a general feeling of dirtiness mostly in the master bathroom. The master bedroom ceiling light would not come on so the only light in that room was a small table lamp. I did not call this in as I did not want to deal with maintainance for a single minute of my vacation. The fridge bottom plate was laying in the kitchen floor when we got there and the circuit breaker box was open in the master bedroom. We put the fridge plate close to the fridge and ran into it a couple of times while there. Since there were 43 of us in various condos in the Sandpiper during our vacation, I was exposed to several different ones and ours was the only one lacking in condition. The others were more updated and smelled and looked clean. I bought deodorizer when I got groceries and dealt with it, but I would not recommend any of my friends to this condo even though I would recommend the Sandpiper but in other suites.

15 Year Visitor: Overall the stay was great. However, the property does not appear to be managed the same as in the past. Appears that trash is not picked up as often. Loud music during all times of the day and night is very widely done in many rooms and on balconies. Owner in 6A and other guests put beach towels over railing in front of more than one unit on most days. Elevator was out of service many times. There was more beach trash than in past years and beach trash cans are always overflowing, need more than one beach trash can. People appear to be almost living on the beach. Tents are up all of the time and beach gear is piled up in a mess every night. Tents need to come down every night. Some damaged tents never came down. We enjoy the Sandpiper and have for years, it needs more attention than it is getting in order to stay like it has for many years.

I have stayed at the Sandpiper several other times. Each time I stay the experience is "Better & Better".
The property had a refreshed look about it. Unit 7A was emaculate.
It is an ideal place for family and friends to gather for a quite, beautiful time on the beach.

My wife and I have vacationed several times at the Sand Piper in Gulf Shores, AL. We keep coming back to the Sandpiper because of it's family atmosphere and the easy access to the beach. This was our first year staying in unit 7A and we fould the furnishings to be very accommodating. We will be coming back next year to the Sand Piper to enjoy another wonderful vacation.

Loved the unit and will stay there again. I was a bit disappointed with the complex itself and the lack of presence of staff. We've stayed at the Sandpiper for many years and there was a noticeable decrease in maintenance and security staff around. Pool had been cleaned daily in prior yrs, wasn't cleaned all week this year. Overall, good stay.

My parents, spouse, daughter, and I stayed for six nights beginning September 20th. We found the Sandpiper 7A clean and budget friendly. I was worried about the view but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Our air-conditioning unit did malfunction on the first day; but after calling the manager's after hours hotline, a gentleman corrected the problem within an hour. Thanks for the great stay!
