My family and i stayed in the Island Wind West #177 for 5 days this year. We were arriving after office hours at anchor Vacation Rentals. We called, they said no problem. There is a box they will leave our keys and information. Perfect! The condo is just like the pictures so there were no surprises. I admit, it could use some interior touch up however for the small amount of time we actually were in it, it was great. We had a small problem with the toilet but even that wasn't a big deal. The essentials were supplied for us such as dinnerware and pots and pans. The outside grills were great. We enjoyed both the beach and the pool. I would stay again. The only thing i might suggest would be a tv in the bedroom if possible. Thank you anchor for a good experience.

Oh so close!!

We were excited to have a condo right on the water and was a bit disaapointed when we realized it was so close to the elevators, weight room and overooked the pool. That was a negative due to crowd noise. Also had to experience a pool closing due to someone either getting sick or using the bathroom in the pool. It would have been helpful if there was some time of signage indicating why the pool was closed but that didn't happen. Read more

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have notified Association Management about your complaint and have asked them to inform guest in the future if the pool will be temporarily closed. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

The garbage truck came every morning at 3 am and woke us up. The sink in the condo clogged up. We had to call maintenance twice. The bedroom was missing the door!! The balcony door didn't have any blinds. The front door was not secure at all even when it was locked. We will not go back to this complex ever!! The only good thing was the view!!
We did not have any problems with our stay.

Islands West 177 was where we stayed. The unit was fine and we enyoyed our short vacation.
Convenient but dated condo.

We booked last minute and stayed at this location. Very convenient location, but the unit was a bit dated. No major issues, but we had 2 adults and 2 teens, and it was a bit close at times. The beach was great, and the pool was very nice. Would prefer a higher floor level. Next time we will book earlier and get a 2 BR, and 2 Ba. Anchor was easy to deal with.
Enjoyable area, less than ideal condo rental

Anchor provided great and friendly service and I would use them again for future rentals. I did not like the condo itself as it is in bad need of updating and remodeling. While I was able to connect to Wi-Fi while there, the bandwidth was very limited. The Condo was clean but the amenities gave the impression of the owner saving as much expense as possible. The linens were cheap and gave the impression of a Motel 8. The balcony furniture was Wal-mart plastic and uncomfortable. The lighting was dim and I had to remove the lamp shades to have enough light to read by. Many light bulbs were burned out. No cable service and the condo only had a VHS capable player. Really!! Vhs? The location while near the main Hwy 59 interchange had very little within walking distance. The kitchen was not furnished with a sauce pan for cooking. I had to buy a cheap one at the local dollar store. Only two trash bags provided, so I had to buy those as well. The bath tissue was cheap and useless, I bought my own of that as well. However, I must say that everyone staying there were friendly and welcoming and the residents of the area were also welcoming. The beach itself was excellent. Overall I would use anchor again and I would visit the area again as well, but I would not rent at this condo. Read more

We are terrribly sorry you had issues with the condo. We were not aware that the cable was out. Please in the future call us so we can report it. We will contact the owner and get the vhs switched to a dvd player and check on the pots and pan situation. As for the trash bags and tissue, your confirmation packet should have included a "what to bring letter." We only supply a first night supply of paper products. We are looking forward to your future visits.
Great Location... no dvd player... horrible sofa bed

We stayed in the condo the first weekend in October and the location is great. The unit is accessed through the bedroom which is fine but the bedroom has no door to the rest of the condo so it stays open. This is fine but for 2 couples there would be no privacy. The living room is adequate. The unit had a VCR player that I guess was just for looks as we could not find anyplace to plug it in to the tv. Also, where do you rent VCR tapes now??? No dvd player was a bummer and the tv is a 19" at best. The sleeper sofa was pulled out for our son and it is the worst sleeper I have ever touched! You could feel every single spring in the mattress. It really should be thrown away. If you need an extra bed you will not be able to sleep on this one without getting bruises. I really suggest the owner putting in a new mattress and a dvd player. Other than that the unit was nice and the regular bedroom was sufficient. Access to the beach was wonderful and all of the amenities are basically within walking distance. Would I stay in this particular unit again??? No. Anchor Vacation Rentals were wonderful and i'm sure will help me find a better unit the next time we head that way! Read more

Thank you for making us aware of your complaints. We do apologize for the inconvenience and will make sure the owners know the unit needs updating. However, had we known about the dvd player our staff would have provided one for you during your stay. Again we do apologize, but please next visit give us a call to let us know about your complaints (if any) during your stay so we can accomodate you the best we can. FYI-a mattress topper has been added to the sofa sleeper to make it more confortable and a new TV and DVD player have been added.

When I called about renting the condo, I told them about what we needed. They were so helpful and e-mailed everything we needed. Their office was easy to find and the condo was so convienent to beach and restaurants. It had a wonderful balacony overlooking the Gulf and the pool. My husband has some problems walking and so the location was great for us. It was a great week for us and we will be back!
