Anchor vacations is a great professional management company but the unit was a dump. The unit needs major painting, the paint is peeling so bad that it gone over half the wall, rebar is popping throught the ceiling, the toilet was unsecured, the screen door was broke, tHe furniture was dirty and gross. The back bedroom was moldy. Go someplace else.

The service at anchor Vacation Rentals was excellent and the staff was very helpful. The house was clean and well maintained. The location was excellent sitting right on the beach and close to restuarants and shops. The best things we liked was the location right on the beach,the view from the balcony, and the feeling of being right at home. The only things we did not like was there was some places where the paint was peeling and the furniture was a little worn.

We have stayed at Harbor House 5 several times. We absolutely love it!
I love that it's so close to the water, I love that it isn't a high rise and I really
love that I can open the bedroom window and be lulled to sleep
by the sounds of the surf. The accommodations are quite homey and
comfortable. Everything you could possibly need for your stay is in the condo.
The in condo washer and dryer are very helpful, you don't have to pack as much and I always wash our clothes before heading home, so I'm not stuck with laundry when we get back. The people at anchor Vacations are always very helpful, greet us with a smile and make us feel welcome. I cannot wait to get back to our favorite vacation location! -

The Condo was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay. The convenience of staying on the beach made the trip so much more enjoyable. We will definately stay at Harbor House again.
We also went on the Dolphin cruise that was included in the stay. It was very nice. I would definately suggest taking time to enjoy it. -

We booked 29 days before our March 2011 stay and the entire process was made super easy. The view was stunning!!! Sleeping with the doors open listening to the Gulf sounds made for very restful sleep. The condo was perfect we've stayed in higher end places but had no where near the accessability to the beach. The employees were very helpful and friendly. Location was great short walking/driving distance to shops/food and a little grocery right across the street. We are already planning our 2012 vaca back at Gulf Shores. First question our kids had... "Are we going back to "our" condo?!" Thanks anchor Vacations for making a vacation spot we can't wait to return to.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Harbor House 5 mainly because of the location. Unfortunately, when we arrived, first order of business was to mop the floor. Everyone's feet were black after a few minutes of walking through the condo. One other thing, we were not able to use the bedding for the sofa bed because it was full of sand. I could have washed them, but I didn't come to the gulf to wash clothes. Overall, the location of this condo is what makes it worth your while to stay here. We will be back and hopefully it will be a little cleaner.

Have stayed at Harbor House before. We knew it was an older condo with fewer amenities than most. The units seemed a little run down. The ceiling in the master bedroom was leaking onto the floor and the dresser. Other than that it was fine.
The checkout time seems very early and we were rushed to get out of the unit in time. If anything that would be my biggest complaint. We will be back next month and if other rentals have a later check out time we will probably use them.

This is the second time I have stayed at Harbor House and was not disappointed. It was clean with a well stocked kitchen which is great as I like to cook, even on vacation. I felt at home and plan to return again this year.

The condo was clean and had everything we needed except groceries. Check in took only a few minutes. We have rented via Anchor Vacations in the past, and I am continually amazed at the lengths to which Donna and her staff will go to take care of their guests. We will continue to rent from them.

This condo is as close to the beach as you can get. The condo was roomy but a little outdated. The sliding glass door to the balcony was somewhat broken and very difficult to open and close which resulted in everyone using the main bedrooms entrance instead. We had problems at first with the washing machine but got it resolved. One day we came back to find that we had no water. It was resolved quickly as well but these things were a pain. We absolutely loved the location on the beach! We could not have got a better spot. We would stay here again.

This condo was just want my family and I wanted. It was so convenient for my elderly parents. It was on the bottom with very little stairs to climb which worked out great for my elderly parents. This condo was a gulf front condo with a balcony not far from the Gulf. My mother really enjoyed this. This condo was very close to the pool, as well as not far from the Gulf. It worked out so well for my elderly parents. The decor and furnishings of this condo was perfect....could not have asked for a better place. Hope to return back to this condo next year.
The only problem that we came across at staying at Harbor House #5 was that where we parked under the condo we got blocked by vehicles that were parked in unauthorized areas which would not allow us to back out of our condo parking place. Anchor was notified and the problem was handled.
Overall, I would highly recommend for others to stay at Harbor House #5.

Very disappointing. property details on internet site state newly renovated. by newly I am assuming that means w/in the last 15 yrs. sliding door wouldnt close tightly or lock. also probably hasnt been worked on in yrs as it was extremely difficult to even move. screen door competely inoperable. couldnt open windows because of holes in the screens. cable reception extremely poor. zero reception on tv w/out cable. cable outlet cover plate broken and looks to have been like this for some time. HSI but wireless password never provided. left msg on anchor's recorder and never recv reply during duration of 1 week stay.

we stayed for a week in July weather was warm but not overly so. It was so convenient the beach was right down our steps, so great for families with several children. We are hoping to stay again. The inside of the property was clean and very comortable.

We have stayed in this complex since 1996. The newly renovated condo, with excellent excess to the Gulf, beachside & pool are great. The bacony looks directly on the gulf front which is very relaxing.
The Hi-Speed Internet connection was on the blink. Not really a problem when you have so much other things to do.
The realtor are very helpful and personable.
I will be back in the near future. -
