Beautiful, clean condo. Oceanfront view was amazing. Nice location. Fully equipped. I was visiting the gulf with my two sons and we had a wonderful vacation.

The biggest problem with this unit is the front bedroom - the window needs blackout shades. Plus the unit needs to be updated.

Everything was fine with one exception. We left our pillows there and only one was sent to us. The one we didn't receive was mine.

This condo unit has a very well stocked kitchen with almost every appliance you would need to prepare any meal. The bed linens are better than the ususal rental fare and there were plenty of bath towels. The iron and ironing board were especially nice; no need to iron everything before packing. The beds are very comfortable and the extra pillows in the closets were appreciated.
Island Shores is within easy walking distance to the public beach for summer events that are scheduled. The balcony is great for morning coffee! -

We had a wonderful time. The condo was very nice, clean and well appointed. If I had to make any suggestions they would be #1 - put blackout drapes in the master bedroom to cut out the light from the outside security lights at night #2 - find another company to manage the chairs on the beach - we rented the chairs but only saw the attendant three times - once at about 8am when he put out the umbrellas for the people who had reserved chairs prior to that day, at about 2 or three when he came around to check on us and again at around 5 when he picked up the umbrellas and cushions. On the first day we waited over 2 hours to rent chairs and finally got our own umbrellas and cushions. #3 - the internet connection did not work (this was the only thing that I really was disappointed about since I rented this condo in part so I could accomplish some work online) Other than these minor things I would highly recommend this condo. The Anchor folks were very nice and pleasant.

We are sorry about the inconvenience with the beach chairs. They are independent contracts and are not a part of the condo management. They do however, have to work with the association to provide these services in front of the condos. I will have this looked into. Thank you for the information on the internet. We will have this looked into also.

Our stay at Island Shores 558 in Gulf Shores, AL was very nice. It was our first venture to the Alabama beaches and to Gulf Shores, and was a very nice change from the Spring Break madness of the Florida beaches even though my daughter may say otherwise. The condo and accomodations were very nice. Everything needed for a family vacation. I must also say that the friendliness of Anchor Vacation Rentals was very much noticed and appreciated. After having second thoughts on the original place I had rented they were very accomodating and kind in assisting me with finding another location. Thank you Anchor Rentals and to the owners of the condo in which we stayed. My husband, two daughters and I had a wonderful stay!

We stayed a week at Island Shores 558 condo and had a fabulous time. Drinking coffee on the balcony facing the beach was wonderful and you could always feel that Gulf breeze. Entry door was facing the parking lot on the street side. The only problem was that we put our Harley Davidson on a trailer and towed there. When we arrived, the parking attendant WOULD NOT let us park our trailer in the parking lot (and is was NOT full at any time we were there). Anchor Vacations was great about letting us park at their location which was about 5 minutes away.
