My husband and I had our "destination" wedding in Gulf Shores and many of us rented condos through Young's Suncoast for the Lighthouse Condominiums. They were much better than expected. The furniture and appliances were actually nice (not cheesy or over beachy) and the rooms were decent size. We didn't want to leave! The pool was nice, too.
The only things I would warn about are the fitness center (there is a few treadmills, an elliptical and one weight machine but no dumbells or anything) and the parking. We were given two parking passes and told that we would have to ask the desk at the actual condo for more... but they do not give access to them there. Luckily, no one was towed (May also isn't busy season, yet.)
Overall, extremely pleased and will stay again. -

We've rented from Young's many times before & have never been disappointed w/our vacations!
We were able to get into the unit a little early which was great since we had flown in w/5 kids. Unit was clean with the exception of dirty dishes & utensils being put back into the cupboards & drawers. Easy enough to stick back in the dishwasher though. Bedrooms were beautiful & the view is outstanding! The kitchen could use more baking/cooking ware for families who like to budget & not eat out everyday. A couple minor issues we had (wear & tear) were taken care of immediately.
Pool & hot tubs were clean & my family enjoyed them just as much as the beach.
Only other request I could make is that security be a little tighter on very young children being in the hot tubs & pools unsupervised for hours. Could be a major safety issue.
We plan on working through Young's again next year & will try for this unit again!

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. It is very well furnished and very clean. There was 4 of us staying there, and it was a great vacation for us. We would like to stay there again soon. Very comfortable furnishings.

We stayed at Lighthouse #901 from June 27-July 2, 2011. Jeremy at Young's Suncoast found this partial week rental for us after we had to abruptly leave an unsuitable vacation rental in Ocean Springs, ms. The unit was just as he described it to me over the phone. We checked into the unit only 4 hours after making our reservation!
The unit was beautifully decorated, very clean and updated. The kitchen had granite countertops and was well furnished, although I think the kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils like tongs for grilling, etc. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great. All of the furniture was comfortable and in great condition. The bedding and towels were in excellent condition. My only furniture complaint is that the 2 leather pushback recliners don't work as well as they should. They don't stay reclined when you push them back. Since this unit is on the east side of the building, the balcony is oversized and wraps around to the side of the building. Very nice!
We usually stay in much smaller condo buildings so I was hesitant to rent in such a large complex. We were pleasantly surprised at how uncrowded a large complex could seem. There are 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pools that were very clean, the beach was pristine, and the water was clean.
There is an outdoor charcoal grilling area next to the building which was nice. We were surprised that it wasn't too crowded to use. We were able to grill out every night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gulf Shores and Lighthouse #901!!! -

My husband & I along with 2 other adult couples stayed for 3 nights. The condo was very accomodating...it's rare that you find a 3 br/3 ba with no twin beds!! The wrap around balcony was where we spent all of our evenings & early mornings. It was the perfect space for us & we will definitely stay again. I loved that it was so close to restaurants & shopping.

Service is always great at Young's Suncoast. Have
used them for the past three years.
The three bedroom condo is wonderful. So much space and can't say enough about the view from so many rooms.
Visited the wharf mall this trip,really enjoyed it,
shops unique and plan to go back again.
Everything was wonderful.

We've been coming to Gulf Shores for many years now but this was our first stay at the Lighthouse. This room was the best! It was decorated with class, I have trouble staying in a room that I don't like the decore. If I have to live there for a week I like to enjoy my surroundings. The balcony on this room was the best, it wrapped from one side to the other. It was the largest one we've ever had and the view was great. I would highly recommend this room to anyone looking for a great room with a great view. I know that me & my family will request this room year after year.

The views were amazing. We will definitely consider renting this condo next year. The only thing I would change about this condo is the large furniture. The furniture is much too large for the condo; therefore, the open space for moving around is significantly reduced. Other than the size of the furniture, the condo is absolutely perfect for an enjoyable vacation.

This is a beautiful property with a perfect location. My grandsons enjoyed the beach and the resort style pool. It's definitely family friendly but also quiet enough for a couples-only stay. The staff at Young's Suncoast were pleasant and knowledgeable. I will definitely stay there again.
