The house was the best we have rented but the service was not.

The house was plenty big enough and the kitchen better stocked than any we have had before. There were 3 things that I called twice about that needed attention and we never heard from Kaiser much less had them resolved. One was a potentially dangerous broken step that did result in a fall while the other 2 things were inconvenient but not harmful. You expect the service to be decent with a house this size and price and I was disappointed and will not use them again. The practicing Blue angels were a highlight for young and old.

The house is beautiful and very well-equipped; it literally has everything one could ask for.
We had trouble in getting a light bulb changed in the shower downstairs(it was needed as the area is dark). We also had a non-working fan in one of the upstairs bedrooms. It would have been very nice to have this fan working as upstairs bedrooms tend to be warm. The owners did not want to pay to have someone come out and address these problems. Finally, on Thursday before we left early Saturday morning, the light bulb was replaced; the fan was never fixed. We had called to report these problems the day after we arrived which was Sunday.
When a renter pays what this house cost to rent, I think they are entitled to have problems fixed quickly.
Kaiser should make the information available to renters when an owner insists on using their own maintenance company and will not allow Kaiser to meet the needs of the renters that Kaiser contracted with.
We were delayed for 1 1/2 hours from being able to move into the house because the cleaning crew was not finished. Again, at these prices, the house should be ready for the renters. Perhaps Kaiser would benefit from hiring more staff. We waited outside in the hot, mosquito-filled parking area while waiting for the cleaning crew to finish. We had a five year old and a two year old that found waiting very hard. (I must admit the adults weren't very happy about it either.)
We have gone to this area for over 30 years; this was our first and last time to rent through Kaiser. The other rental agencies that we have rented from have been much quicker to address any problems that we have experienced.

Serendipity is a great vacation home that worked well for our family. It is far enough out of Gulf Shores that the beach was very quiet and private, yet close enough to drive into town for dinner each evening or to gather groceries. When we arrived at this rental it was extremely dirty. There was dirt/dust everywhere, the kitchen was filthy, there were bowls with food left in them, the bedding had obviously been used and not changed-- Needless to say, we were very disappointed for the price we paid. We called the realty company and they sent a cleaning team out, so the cleaning was taken care of but at the expense of time during our vacation and the cleaning we had already done.
The home's furnishings are nice, but they definitely showed their age. There were tears on some of the upholstered pieces, etc. The space available in this home, and the layout was fantastic for our group. The living space was large enough for all of us and the bedrooms provided enough privacy for adequate down time. The kitchen is nicely equipped with blenders, toasters, an ice machine, and two microwaves, so if you are planning on spending time in the kitchen there should be your necessary items available.
There are beach chairs on the porch that we took down to the beach each day-- which was an added bonus. Overall we would definitely consider coming to this home again, but were disappointed with the complete lack of cleanliness on check in. It started off our week on the wrong note.
