I can't say enough about San Carlos 1608. This was probably the nicest and cleanest vacation spot that I've ever stayed at. The beach was beautiful. The ocean view was spectacular. We slept with the doorwall open every night just to hear the ocean. The rooms are spacious and beds were very comfortable. The parking garage was very handy-elevator accessible and out of the direct sun. Grocery carts provided to assist in unloading and loading luggage from car. Great restaurants within a few miles. (I Recommend Doc's Seafood and Lamberts)
Renting this condo truly created a worry free vacation. -

We actually stayed in 1104. We had upgraded to 3BR/3Ba. It was great. Accomodations more than adequate for 3 couples. Location, when your are down for the Shrimp Festival, could not be better. We parked our car and did not get back in it until we left to come home.

Due to the oil spill I was forced to cancel my stay which was associated with a wedding on the beach...I canceled my reservation 6+ weeks in advance yet they could not refund my deposit which was very disappointing. You would think there would be an expedited refund process associated with BP but I guess that is too much to ask for.

Your deposit was in fact refunded on the date of your cancelation. The only portion that was not refunded was the $89.00 non-refundable processing fee which is a standard practice not only for Young's Suncoast but most property management companies in the area. We apologize for an inconvenience.

San Carlos 1608 was one of the nicer condos in which we've stayed on the Gulf Coast. The furnishings were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The wet bar was a nice touch. Only complaint...no Golf Channel, but we got along fine without it.
