black mold around drains in master math toilet seats stained bedding had to wash everything on all beds smelled soured tile in condo turned everyones feet black stove top un even for cooking on mom sleeped on sofa bed springs stabbing her in back called rental people was suppose to bring mattress pad never did I stayed a week paid over 2500.00 what a rip off my family was very disappointed spent first day cleaning and washing
Unfortunately, when we are not contacted immediately, or in this case, over two days after initial check in, it is difficult for us to send housekeeping back to clean the floors due to guest use for those days. The condo was inspected prior to arrival and no mold was found in any shower. We brought an air mattress the day we received the list of issues. I also mailed a future stay certificate for a free night due to the issues.

We really enjoyed our stay - maybe the unit could use a few upgrades and the kitchen needs a few more items, such as glasses. Furniture isn't kid friendly - glass tops.
Great week along with St. Patty's Day Pub Crawl

Good vacation, terrible condo rental...

We recently rented unit #1087. Our vacation was enjoyable. Our condo was acceptable. Our service at the Boardwalk was terrible. It started with Young's Suncoast. Upon booking this condo, I mentioned an early check in. I was told to call back aprrox. 1 week prior to our arrival. I call to schedule an early check in and was then told, the room had not been rented for the Tuesday night and shouldn't be a problem to check in any time after 9am, but I have to call the day of arrival after 7am when the office opens to confirm. We started our day at 4am, to avoid trafic, etc... I decided to place that call about 830am and was then told that we could not check in till after 1200(noon) because the room must be inspected. Nobody rented the room the night before and yet it was not ready knowing they had a rental for Wednesday. My parents, who are in thier late 60's, were in a vehicle for a little over 6hrs. After 6hrs of travel, everyone is ready to get out into the room. The second inconvience was the free valet parking. Saturday, my girlfriend and I, we went to Walmart for a few groceries. Upon arriving back at the condo, my truck not yet in park, we were approached by the security guard (for the valet parking) and was asked to move our vehicle so we would not block traffic. I stated to him that we had to pay a little over $1500.00 for this condo alone, not to mention there is sign on the wall that give us a 5 min parking. He then insisted politly to move our vehicle. We have to pay to park, but yet Sea n Suds customers can park for free? Oh, yea, I almost forgot about the 10 mins of driving thru the parking lot to find a space, on the opposite side of the street. I hope this review will be somewhat helpful for the next family looking for the perfect vacation spot. Read more
Response from Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals - 08/03/2009
As stated on the confirmation, check in time is between 3-5 PM and we NEVER guarantee an early check in. Not only is there the issue of cleaning the unit but also any maintenace work or owner touch ups occur between guests visits if at all possible. We checked you in at noon that day which is still three to five hours earlier than the stated check in time. We realize parking is an issue during peak season with most condos up and down the beach. We apologize for this inconvenience. The valets simply asked you to move your vehicle because traffic cannot get through the "turn around" area if there is a car parked in it and in turn, creates cars being stopped in the street. It certainly was not an intent to be rude or difficult.

This was a great and comfortable room. The view was fantastic. The rooms were bright and clean. I would highly recommend it. I would stay there again. The owner has installed a DSL line which we were able to use - BONUS. It is the corner room, so the back bedroom has a window to the outdoors. There was everything we needed in the kitchen. It was just a super space. I had a package delivered to the office at this building and received it without a problem. The pool was great. The location on the beach was great. If you want to eat out (especially when you first get there and haven't had a chance to go to the market yet) you're right outside Sea 'n'Suds - handy. The washer/dryer in the kitchen was a life saver. We just threw everything in there after a day on the beach and were fresh and ready to go the next morning. A lot of people brought their own square 4-poster tent roofs for shade at the beach. They were able to leave them out for the whole week. I didn't hear of anyone bothering other's property on the beach.
If you want the severest criticism I can give, the patio needs to be resealed, as there are tiny rocks coming up from it that stick to your feet and track inside. There is some kind of water leaking in the refrigerator. It wasn't bad though. Just kinda pooled up under the vegetable drawers on the bottom. Also, the dish washer soap dispencer doesn't close causing the soap to cake up in the dispencer and the dishes on the top rack not to get cleaned. We would have liked a place to put our recyclables other than the trash.
NOT THAT GREAT! :(

Did not feel comfortable in this unit at all. This unit needs a makeover. Was okay as far as housekeeping but overall felt like I was staying in cheap hotel.
