This beautiful house stands tall on one of the most lovely white sand beaches on the Gulf Coast. It isn't the Taj Mahal by any means. It's just a 3 bedroom 2-bath beautiful old house that's been sitting on this beach for many years. Yet it's our home away from home. We have enjoyed Klitzke House as our winter home for so many years, we feel qualified to boast on our rental agency, Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals, which takes great care of us. They respond promptly to every question or concern. They have consistantly updated, upgraded or made repairs to the property each and every year since we began vacationing there. A big thank you to Young's Suncoast for helping make our winter vacations in Gulf Shores, AL happy and carefree. Sincerely, Frank & Connie Ianne

It was just great, very clean. Shower door needed some work and the rug had a pull in it which bothered my dog other than that it was just what we wanted. Couch was nice but not cozy.

Wonderful! That is the one word my family uses to describe the K-house. It may be older but is a wonderful place to stay...from the wrap around porch, et friendly house, plentiful parking spaces, on the beach location, open floor plan and great proximity to retail and fun. The service from Sun Coast rentals has always been great. They are attentive to your needs and are accomodating. We will always request the K-house and enjoy working with Sun Coast rental. We love the gulf coast better than the east coast beaches!

We were completely happy with our experience at the Klitzke House. We had more than enough room. The wrap around deck was a great place to sit and drink coffee or relax. The house sits right on the beach and in a quiet family oriented part of town. We would definitely go back to this same rental.

This is the second vaccation with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. It was wonderful inspite of the oil. The kids loved being on the beach. Hopefully we will be able to return.
For the expense, very disappointed.

We had repeated issues from the time of check in.
1. The bathrooms were nasty with dead bugs and rings around the tubs, toilets that had clearly not been cleaned and the sinks had black residue in them.
2. The handle on the sliding glass doors that led to the beach was busted, making it impossible to lock the doors.
3. The main entry door was difficult at best to lock and was not able to be locked at all from the inside.
4. There was a loose spindle on the railing that was only held on by 1 nail at the top, making it swing and bang in the wind. The hole created was big enough for our 17 month old to fall through onto the concerete pad below, had we not been watching her. There were also nails sticking up everywhere.
The bathrooms were recleaned promplty and we were happy with that resolution. The sliding door issue took 3 days to be resolved the front door locking issue took 5 days to be resolved. The issue with the spindle was never resolved or even addressed. We took care of the nails ourselves since they were never addressed either.
The mattresses were very uncomfortable and the Queen in the MBR was so worn out that it was impossible to stay on seperate sides of the bed, instead both people found themselves in the middle of the bed. The decor of the house is in serious need of updateing. The wood paneling could easlily be painted a crisp white and the whole house given a "beach cottage feel" We all felt that for what we paid for a week, what we got wasn't worth it. Read more
Response from Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals - 06/10/2010
At Young's Suncoast we strive to offer premier properties where each guest can have a memorable vacation. When we fail to meet this goal, we always attempt to correct the situation. In this particular gulf front home, both bathrooms had major work done prior to the guests arrival. Apparently the guest arrived before we could finalize cleaning the bathrooms. However, we promptly took care of the situation as mentioned below. We apologize for inconvenience due to the locks on the doors and the balcony. As is the case with many properties that directly face the gulf, boards warp causing nail heads to stick up, banisters occasionally loosen and locks rust. Once we were notified of these problems we took corrective action. The guest did not make us aware of uncomfortable mattresses during their stay. Many of our guests enjoy the older beach cottage style of this home. It has new living room and dining room furniture, updated kitchen and bathroom floors, all new interior doors and carpet. Each year the owner continues to upgrade. While we strive to please each guest, it is impossible to decorate to satisfy everyone's personal taste. This is why we have accurate pictures of each property online so guests are able to see the décor and condition of each property prior to renting it. We thank each guest who takes their valuable time to review our properties and assure them that we take these comments seriously and remain committed to improving in any area we can.

The house was great,I love that it had a washer and dryer! It was really nice to come home and not have a weeks worth of dirty laundry. The view of the ocean while sitting on the couch in the living room was nice.Every morning we could just relax on the couch and see the Dolphins in the distance. It was breath taking. I really didnt know what to expect being as I have never booked my own vacation but I have to say everything was much better than what you see in the ad.Thanks for being pet friendly that was a big plus for me.I hope to go back next year.

This house has a nice, very large shared family area, but the beds in all bedrooms were very uncomfortable and poor quality. We also found that because this house's driveway is directly across the street from the entrance to a neighborhood, there was a ton of unwanted foot traffic from across the street with strangers constantly walking right through the driveway where our cars were parked out to the beach. It was extremely annoying and a security concern, especially after one night when our neighbors chairs were slashed when left unattended out on the beach after dark. This house was not very clean. Also, there is a lot of damage from small dogs (scratched doors, dirty carpets) that are allowed in this house which made me wonder why my "well-behaved" larger dog was not allowed even when I offered to pay a larger nonrefundable deposit. At first I was told that I could bring my dog and then after I signed the rental agreement, I was called and told that I could not. I would not rent this house again.
Great Price - Great Location

The house is right on the beach. For the price, you couldn't ask for a better deal. The house is not fancy, but it did feel like home away from home. There was plenty of room for our family of 4. Actually there was room for more people, considering we had 2 extra beds.
So if your goal is to have something right on the beach, this is the house. Especially if you don't have to have anything real fancy.

Location was excellent. House had some issues. Dishwasher fixed, but broke again, burner on stove not working. Fleas in the house, needs to be addressed. overall house was comfortable and had plenty of room. I would probably stay here again
