Our 3 bedroom beach house is perfectly located on Little Lagoon in Gulf Shores - close to the ocean and downtown activities, but tucked away off of the main beach road for quiet, relaxing times. You will love our private pier and covered boathouse - perfect for swimming, fishing, crabbing, sunbathing, and napping in the sea breeze. We love to watch the sunset over the lagoon from the boathouse swing. Enjoy meals overlooking the lagoon on the large screened porch - the picnic table seats 8-10 easily! This home has new bamboo floors, and has been recently furnished and painted in a bright beachy style.

Additional Location Information

This house is perfectly located on Little Lagoon, close to beaches and downtown activity, but away from the noise and traffic of the main beach road. Beach/Ocean access is on 10th street - a 6 minute walk.

The West Beach Grille, Waves Convenience Store, Island Ice Cream parlor, and a seafood market are just around the corner - a 2 minute walk.

We are a mile and a half west of Hwy 59 where you will find putt-putt golf, go carts, bumper boats, Waterville, and souvenir shopping. For serious shoppers, the Tanger Outlet Mall is only 10 miles away.

*Directly across the lagoon from us is the newly constructed Lagoon Park Boat Launch (a 4 mile drive), or you can utilize the natural launch which is just down the street for smaller vessels and jet skis.

  You can't go wrong with this home. My family and I stayed here for a week in august 2012. I wanted a place where my husband could get away and fish while my young girls and I enjoyed the beach. This was the perfect vacation home. The beach is in walking distance and sunsets on the pier are priceless. We enjoyed fishing and trapping crabs on the pier. We even caught a small stingray. I must admit with two young girls, I was a bit uneasy about the pier. But there was enough room for my four year old to walk back and forth and play on the pier without me going into "mommy panic mode". If we head to the Gulf again, this will be my vacation home.
  
  The owner was very pleasant and very helpful. The neighbors were also friendly. The home was spotless. The decor puts you in the spirit of relaxation, truly a home away from home. There's also a nice cafe and convenience store in walking distance. No regrets.

  The Perfect Gulf Shores Vacation Home

  If you are looking for the perfect Gulf Shores vacation home, look no further. This is it! "Lagoon Rest" is ideally located on Little Lagoon, just two blocks from public beach access. When you stay here, you really get two vacations in one because the lagoon provides the tranquility and fishing experience of a lake within walking distance of all the fun and excitement of sand and surf. The heart of Gulf Shores, with its restaurants, souvenir shops, and zoo, is about a mile from the house. The West Beach Grill, a seafood market, and an ice cream shop are just around the corner. The house is conveniently located yet has a decidedly secluded feel because it is set back off of a quiet road next to other private homes.
  
  I recommend this home to anyone planning a Gulf Shores vacation and can personally attest to its suitability for families. My four children, who range in age from four to eighteen, all raved about "Lagoon Rest." They spent hours fishing and crabbing on the private pier, and I caught the teens sitting on the pier swing admiring the view more than once. My younger children enjoyed playing kickball and other playground games on the long front driveway. The picnic table on the screened-in porch overlooking the lagoon accommodated all of of at mealtimes and pulled double duty as my go-to gaming table. The games, puzzles, and Play Station were appreciated on rainy afternoons. And, we thoroughly enjoyed riding the waves on the inflatable raft.
  
  The interior of "Lagoon Rest" is exactly as pictured: spacious and clean, with a vibrant beachy decor. The kitchen is well-suited for serving a crowd, the full-sized washer and dryer are a must for any beach vacation, and the first floor storage area is very handy for stowing your beach toys, golf clubs, sandy shoes, etc.
  
  I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed staying in this home. It was fantastic! Book it so you can see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
