Property was not clean. Dead bugs on the tile furniture was old and barely holding together. Walls need a fresh coat of paint and space was cramped. Patio plastic table and chairs were cracked, faded and not clean.
The condo was great for our girls beach trip! Being so close to the beach was great. The only complaint we had was that we could easily hear the people upstairs, but other than that, everything was great!

This being an upgrade we really were in heaven compared to the other condo, ruis Condo was right across from the beach so we had great access. The condo also had every thing we need the beds were very comfortable the only downside was the loud walking, stomping etc from the upper level which made it hard to sleep, the toliet seat was also broken aswell as the very loud squeaky dryer. My husband and I did enjoy the jacuzzi we did not enjoy the security guard supervision it was very uncomfortable.

it was ok but little too much stomping around above us and dishwasher didn't work plus there was a constant water drip in by water heater area

The stay was good at first until someone with a key broke into our room and stole all of our women's clothing most all was brand new! We called to have something done and they hung up on us. The camera for the place to obvious keep you safe are a joke they only point to the parking lot! I will never stay there again and I have warned everyone one what happened!

We stayed at Grand Beach and I thought it was very nice. For the amount of time we actually spent in the room we were very comfortable.
It wasn't the greatest place

Check in personnel was friendly. The only staff on-site was the security guard. He was an old dude that sat around and ate snacks...put me in the my of Barney Fife. The jacuzzi hot tub did not work properly (water was not hot). I complained to management, they supposedly put in a service order, but they didn't fix it while I was there. The pool was very small, extremely overcrowded and lots of horseplay to the point we couldn't get in. Location was okay across the street from the beach (1st floor can't see the water, but if you're on the higher floors you could. The television in the bedroom didn't work. Unnecessary junk was in the closet. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable (back breaker). For the price, furnishings and furniture need to be seriously updated. Overall, we had a great time at the beach, but I would not recommend this place nor will I stay here again.
Dated, in bad need of a facelift and some new furnishings.

The furniture is old and faded. Lampshades are literally falling off. Wallpaper border is horrible. Walls have been patched but need paint.

We had a fabulous time in Gulf Shores, AL. Grand Beach #111 was "nice enough". The location is awesome, right across the street from the beach. The walk to the beach is quite a "hike" but well worth it. The building appearance and grounds are nice. The pool area is very nice. Our unit was very clean and we had all we needed. However, the décor is very dated and the place could really use some paint! Also, the blankets/and covers were very well-used (clean but very worn). The kitchen was great and had everything you might need to cook. The big thing is that the condo was clean and no bugs. The shower felt great but it drained very slowly so that you stood in about 3 inches of water when you showered. I called about this but as far as I know, it was not fixed by the time we left. There were a lot of families staying at this complex, so a very nice atmosphere, not a party place. Activities we really enjoyed in the area, were "The Hang-out", "Lulu's restaurant", and "The Wharf" in Orange Beach. The beach at Perdido was just breathtaking and we visited it twice. Had a great breakfast at the Island Pancake House at the Best Western. I would stay here again (outdated décor and all!)
quiet and peaceful

my family and I only stayed one night we came in early and had a unit reserved at ocean house. Young was very helpful and found us this unit for the Friday nigt that we needed a spot. It was clean, and peaceful and the pool was fine for our grandchildren.

Everything was great. It was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the beach was just across the street. The condos were close to everything. The kitchen had anything and everything you would need. We had a blast.
Not as expected

I arrived at office at 2pm to be told that our room was not ready yet. Was told to leave a number and I would be called when it was ready. By 5:15pm I had still not received a call, so I went back to the office to be told that the room had been ready and she didn't know why I didn't receive a call. I booked through Bookit.com for Levin's Bend and was called 48 hours later stating that it was not available but we could be moved to a comparable location. Grand Beach Resort, Room 111 was hardly comparable and was a barely tolerable room. Old and not very clean, and a horrible constant driping water noise from the aC, all through the night. We left early due to this room. I was told that check out was 10am, so I wonder why the rooms aren't available for checkin until after 5pm, or was I misled? Read more
Response from Young's Suncoast Vacation Rentals - 03/24/2011
At Young's Suncoast, we appreciate guests letting us know when they have experiences that do not meet their expectations. Unfortunately, when a guest books through an independent online source, information can occasionally be lost in translation. It appears this was the case when the Book It agent offered a unit that was not comparable to the original complex requested.
We are reviewing the breakdown in our housekeeping alert system that would have notified this guest that the room was ready. All of the other issues in the unit have been corrected.
Young's Suncoast regrets that this guest had these problems. We have offered this guest a discount in an effort to encourage her to give us another opportunity to win her trust.
Good location, but outdated accommodation

We enjoyed the location of the condo, with easy "across-the-street" access to the beach. But the age/condition of the condo and furnishings did not seem to be worth the price we paid. It would be worth the extra $50-75 a night to get a newer condo on the beach for what we paid for it. Also, the swimming pool was very small, which perhaps we would not have noticed as much if the ocean waters were not closed (due to oil, high tide, etc).
Finally, the "check-in fees" seem to be a rip-off. We were aware of them when booking, but all you get for it is a parking pass (no cleaning, no fresh towels, nothing...). This should be wrapped into the per-night-price listed on the travel website(s)! Read more

We certainly apologize for any issues during your stay. We are going out to inspect this unit today to make any necessary recommendations to the owner as far as updates. As far as the fees, it is Alabama state law that governs this. We are not allowed to roll them into an "all inclusive" price. We are required to list them seperately. We certainly hope that this will not deter you from visiting our area again.
Time flies when you are having fun.

Loved this condo for the price. We were not in the room very often because we stayed at the pool or beach all day, but the condo was a good place to find some much needed rest after long hours of sun.

Grand Beach Condo(#111) was a very nice place to stay, clean, quiet, easy access to get too. The view of the beach and Gulf was great.
I would stay, again. Rates were reasonable for the season.
Love, love, love Grand Beach!!!!

Grand Beach has been our locale to stay at for the past 4 or 5 years. We like to stay here even though it is not on the beach the State Park is across the street so you will never have to worry about anything being in front of you!!
