This was our 3rd year at Gulf Shores. This was the first time we stayed at the Island Sunrise complex. The complex itself was for the most part clean. Our condo appeared to be clean but there was a lot that has been overlooked. For some reason, the tile floor was wet/damp the entire time we were there. My husband and I had to put towels down beside the bed to dry our feet at night. The condo could use some work in the bathroom as the moisture is causing issues in the ceiling.
The living room furniture had a strong smell of mildew.
On our 3rd day in the condo, we woke up to our balcony being torn out and a board being placed over a balcony. I understand that construction needs to happen, however, it would've been nice to be notified. The noise was so loud, we had to leave a day early.

This is the second time I've rented through Young's Suncoast. The first was at the Boardwalk and the last was at Island Sunrise. We decided for Gulf Shores over Destin because it is closer and considerably cheaper. The water isn't as clear in Gulf Shores--but still beautiful. Both units were very comfortable and well equipped--felt like home. The staff has always been very nice and accommodating. In fact, a very nice lady at the front desk was willing to wait a bit for us because we were running late to check-in. My one and only complaint about our last trip--which really might not have anything to do with the rental--is that there were several people on the beach with very loud music blasting from their coolers. And they would often walk through the condo with the coolers blaring. This area of the gulf I guess is a bit more redneck riviera than Destin--where the people seem to be more considerate.

needed more kitchen untenicels had to go to walmart to but forks and cups, pizza pan etc with small children you kinda need those things. And the guest bath needs a shower head installed. View was nice wished there would have been a table outside on the porch to eat on not just chairs. And no tv in the guest bedroom. Over all not the best that i have stayed at useing youngs suncoast
