These two excellent properties are ideally situated for family holidays within a few minutes walk of the village centre and the long sandy beach for which Gullane is renowned. The owner would be pleased to organise golf on various local courses by prior arrangement. The surrounding area offers excellent leisure and recreational facilities for all ages and abilities. Edinburgh is approximately 1/2 hour by car. Gullane has a selection of shops and friendly hotels serving food.

The Bield was a lovely home, tastefully decorated but on arrival the place was very cold. The heating was on but due to the extreme cold weather conditions, the place had not warmed up. The radiators were not hot, even though the heating was on, and the first job we had to do was go and purchase a radiator key to expel the air and once this was done the heat managed to get into the radiators.
We found the Raybun a bit of a challenge, but can strongly advise cooking a casserole - we put it in the oven in the morning and it was cooked when we arrived home in the evening.
We would certainly stay there again, as its convenience for the golf courses was first class. -

We had a fantastic time, the cottage was a real surprise, luxurious, spacious, clean and had excellent facilities. The location was ideal for day trips into Edinburgh and the village was great with good shops restaurants and had a lovely beach. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
