Tilo House provides a perfect African
Located in south of The Gambia, this comfortably appointed family home is set in about an acre of tropical garden. Forty minutes drive brings you away from Gambia's tourist areas and into the real thing. Here you are just a walk from the beach, a small nature reserve and Gunjur village. Enjoy meeting the locals, shopping in the market, swimming, walking and bird watching, and then, with a cold drink in your hand, watch the sunset form the upstairs terrace.

Tilo House stands about halfway between Gunjur village and Gunjur beach, in the south of the Gambia, some 6 miles form the southern border with Senegal. It is 10 miles from Brikama, a town with banks, internet facilities, petrol stations, small supermarkets, and a wonderful open-air market.
Gunjur is about 45 minutes drive from the airport, and a little more form the main tourist areas. The colourful fishing village on the beach is a 15 minute walk from the house.
The beach is part of a 25 miles stretch of bays and strand, much of which is empty. Visit some of the other beaches by car, cycle or simply walk along them.
