This is a charming, fully equipped home,two queen bedrooms, two full baths, and a sleeping loft (ladder access) with two twin beds. Just bring your clothes, fishing rod and expectations, you won't be disappointed. Located within sight of the Gunnison National Forest and West Elk Wilderness. Close enough to town to be convenient but far enough out to give you the peace you deserve.

Our guest house is located just 3 miles north of Gunnison on Highway 135. Far enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful, but close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer. The restaurant regularly voted "Best In Gunnison" is within walking distance. Epic mountain bike rides can leave from the driveway. Rafting, Blue Mesa reservoir, the gold medal waters of the Taylor and Gunnison rivers, historic Crested Butte and the West Elk Wilderness are all close by. The perfect location to center your Gunnison Valley adventures from.

After an 11 hour drive, my family and I arrived at this amazing destination. This cottage has all the comforts of home. Very quiet, private, and charming. The owner's are very accomodating and made us feel at home from the very beginning. When in Gunnison, this cottage is a must stay. Well worth the drive!

This was the ideal place for our family! The grand kids loved it. It was very clean and comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. Loved the pond! Doug & Lee are great and very accommodating. We would highly recommend this place for a family or if you just want to chill and enjoy the wonderful Colorado weather. Please eat at Lee's BBQ place in town... some of the best you will find anywhere (and that's saying a lot since we are from Texas)!

My family has been looking for a vacation home in the Gunnison
area. We came across a family friend that had just the right
place for us. This charming three bedroom two full bath
house was ideal for our needs.
If you get the chance to stay in the Gunnison area , I highly recommend visiting
Doug and Lee Engel's Vacation guest home.
The privacy and beautiful pond are a wonderful way to start and end your day.

My husband and I have stayed here for three summer
vacations. The house has everything a family needs
and the owners are very accommodating and very friendly.
The grounds are well tended to and the wild life plus
their own animals make it fun to relax on the front
porch and enjoy all that is fun to watch. The location
is nice. Business and restaurants are a short drive
away! We recommend staying and enjoying this place is a
