* Day 1: Today you have arrived. The bakery is about 3 km away, you can order your baked goods to be delivered every morning to the doorstep fresh (except Sundays and public holidays). Supermarkets and other stores (such as butchers), are about 9 km away in Erbach or 13 km away in Beerfelden, Michelstadt or Fürth. Within walking distance is the dairy where you get fresh milk and other dairy products. We recommend a walk through Marbach Reservoir. Either you walk there and walk around it (Allow about 90 minutes) or you can drive there by car (parking spaces are available) and only run around the lake (about 45 minutes walk)
* Day 2: Today we recommend a visit to the county town of Erbach. There you can visit the castle and the Count's collection and then at the marketplace or in the castle garden and take a cool drink. It is possible to have tea or coffee and cake. A walk along the Mümling and through the castle garden and the old town invite you to relax. In the afternoon you can use the game park brother reason (there are deer browse) or visit the English Garden (with even more animals).
* Day 3: Today you should take a trip to the historic city of Michelstadt. Approx. 30 wells are located in the city. In the city center there are again many locations where you can have lunch. Among other things, a small town brewery is located in the Old Town. However, other dining options are recommended. Just ask us. In the afternoon you can visit the Einhardsbasilika or nearby airport drive. There is a beer garden where you can sit in the sun and watch the small planes take off and land. * Day 6: Today we recommend something quieter. Either take a hike on one of the many nearby trails (hiking maps can be borrowed free of charge from us) or go towards Bensheim and visit the rock sea. Here, huge boulders of glacial origin are strung together. Lunch could be, for example, could be had in Kreuzhof Kuralpe near then afternoon visit to the Prince camp overlooking the vineyards Bergsträßer. Whether fresh greens, juicy grapes or colorful autumn leaves are visible on the vine. This used to be the summer residence of the rulers of Darmstadt. Here you can eat, drink coffee and a slice of cake or enjoy a cool Bergsträßer wine.

Or walk along the Neckar, either upstream or downstream to Eberbach Neckarsteinach (approximately 2 to 2.5 hours). From there you can return on a train to Hirschhorn. We recommend for hiking the opposite side of the river since the roads are quiet. But you can also go by car to Neckarsteinach and visit on the opposite side of the picturesque village with Dilsberg Castle, which sits high above the river Neckar. Neckarsteinach itself features 4 more castles (Vorder-, Mittel- and Hinterburg, and Schwalbennest)

That's with 200 wildlife species one of the largest and most beautiful mountain zoos in Germany. Those who prefer a sportier love does as an alternative the summer toboggan run in Waldmichelbach.

* Day 8: Make today a day for hiking. You can use the legendary Siegfried fountain which is about 2 km away from our house. You can hike to the Walpurgis chapel or drive to and walk to the Tromm. From here you have a wonderful view of the hills of the Odenwald. Along the way there are always opportunities einzukehren.
* Day 9: On this day, you could go to the imperial city of Speyer and visit the cathedral and the old town. Also there is an aircraft museum located with a large outdoor area. Among other things, the two supersonic aircraft TU 144 are admired (Russia) and Concorde (France).
* Day 10: Take a trip to the cat's back. This is the highest elevation in the Odenwald. We highly recommend the Landgasthof recommended (reservations required especially on nice days). If you want to extend your trip or you can look at Bad Wimpfen or Guttenberg Castle View. From here comes the Guttenberg, who invented the art of printing. There is also a bird of prey show.

Moreover, here the remains of an ancient Roman bath and the limes are visible (Fortification of the Roman Empire). Alternatively, take the direction of large-Umstadt to Odenwälder wine island. This is the smallest wine region in Germany. Along the way you can visit the castle and on the way back the Breuberg Veste Otzberg.
