      Music for the Soul

Left on 05/02/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We enjoyed six glorious days at Rainbow's End in Haena in april 2013. This house provided three private bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The kitchen/dining/living area was lovely, but the views and beach access were exquisite. Every morning we could watch sunrise from "our private beach." Each night we were lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. Truly the week in Kauai was music for the soul and the house provided us a wonderful vantage point for enjoying the abundant natural beauty.

      We loved this house!

Left on 03/17/2013 for a stay in January 2013

Rainbow suited our extended family of three couples perfectly! We were celebrating my son's 30th birthday. My husband and I had the upstairs master suite and adult children and spouses had two bedrooms and two baths downstairs along with the family room for late night videos and popcorn. This house is almost at the end of the road to the Na Pali coast trailhead so it is quite remote. We learned to be prepared with food and supplies because there are no stores nearby. The only road to the Rainbow house is a very slow two lane coastal road that is often one lane due to construction and the wonderfully quaint but sometimes tedious one lane bridges that span the many creeks flowing to the ocean.Luckily the house had a wonderful kitchen, we enjoyed our meals "at home" with fresh fruit and veggies from the numerous farmer's markets around the island. We were able to see whales breaching with our morning coffee on the deck! Rainbow house is perfect if you plan your visit around activities on the north shore. We went to the south shore several times and found it just took too much time in the car. Might make sense if you would like to see Waimea Canyon to split your stay between north and south shore.

nearby beach, wonderful for long hikes

A very nice place right across from the beach

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Extremely clean, quiet, and comfortable house literally steps from the beach. The space is nice, and just about the right size for 4-5 people. The decks are great and furnishings are nice.

      We had a great time

Left on 03/23/2012 for a stay in February 2012

The house worked well for 3 couples. One bedroom is much larger and nicer than the other two which can be a little complicated to deal with, but it also has the disadvantage of being noisier when it rains (since it's upstairs). The location of the house is great! Just a mile or two from tunnels beach which has some excellent snorkeling. The front porch is covered and has a great view. Had some really nice dinners out there. All and all, highly recommended.

      Amazing

Left on 02/05/2009 for a stay in January 2009

We had such a great time at Rainbow's End. It was perfect. There are so many things that i'd like to say, but would quickly run out of room. My favorite things about this house were it's peaceful location, the ocean view and accessibility, and the house itself. Thanks for the memories. We'll be back.

      No little grass shack

Left on 01/29/2009 for a stay in March 2008

Six people, representing four generations of our family spent a week at this lovely beach house. We loaded up on groceries and cooked everyday in the ample kitchen. The bedrooms were comfortable. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs loft. The views from the house were spectacular. I'm an early riser and witnessed two beautiful sunrises from the beach accross the street. The beach is not good for swimming, but a mile or so down the road is Tunnels, one of the best spots for snorkling in all of Hawaii.
