Amazing view and a cosy family home in Icelandþ

We have a house in the beautiful harbour town called Hafnarfjordur. The town is close to Reykjavik about 10 min car ride away. Like I said in the beginning Hafnarfjordur is a very nice town with everything you need, outdoor swimming pools and hot tups, restaurants and some shops.

Hafnafjordur is only about 25 min car ride away from the airport and the blue lagoon. Our house is a 155 square meters and has 4 bedrooms and makes it possible for at least 6 persons to sleep there, fully equipet kitchen, living room and 1 bathroom with a shower and a bath and a washing room with washer and a dryer.

This house is our home but we travel a...round a little bit and we want to give people the opportunity to enjoy some home being away from home. So we are not renting it out all year long just some few weeks now, but it could go for the whole summer. We live there with our 3 children from the age of 1-15. But when you are renting it you will have it all to your self. We have nice neighbours and the neighbourhood that we live in is a quiet and save area. There is a grocery store about 7 min walk away and a pharmacy. The bus stops on the puplic street close to our house 2 min walk away.

A week in June usually around the 15th there is a viking festival in Hafnarfjordur. There gather around a group of vikings from all around the world and have a big and fun festival viking style. Hafnarfjordur is about an hour drive from Thingvellir and a 1 hour and 45 min from Gullfoss and Geysir. There are also 3 golf courses close by. One is just about 5 min walk away and that golf course is a nine hole golf course called Setberg. Then only about 7 min drive away there is one of the best golf courses in Iceland that is called Golfklubbur Keilir. The third one is called Oddur Golfklubbur also known as Odd fellow and is about 10 min drive away.

So our home is a cosy, close to most of the interesting things, great location for a family with kids and Hafnarfjordur has everything you need and if you don't find what you need Reykjavik and other nearby towns are not far away.Read more

Additional Location Information

We live in a quiet and save neighbourhood and pretty close to transportation like the bus that stops 1 minute away from our house. There is a small grocery store, pharmacy, hair saloon and a beauty saloon about 800 meters away,right out side the house there is a small playground that is great for kids. Since we live up on a hill we have a great view and also beautiful nature right outside our door. The town Hafnarfjordur has everything a town should have,restaurants, out door swimming pools, coffee houses, shops and big grocery store's. We have great hiking rounds close to us and a horse back riding and also like said before great golf courses close by. To go to the central town in Hafnarfjordur would only take you about 15-20 minutes to walk and only few minutes to drive and the harbour is close to the central. We have a spave for at least 2 cars to park free in front of the house and that would be no problem for the third car to stand here in the street for free also.
