San Jose, CaliforniaExcellent solitude, listening to the rain, pleasant hideaway

Was able to rent from Jennifer on very short notice. It was lovely - I only wished I had arrived a little earlier. Had relied on my GPS which gave up less than a mile away due to loss of (Tmobile) cell phone signal - and it gets quite dark after sundown. Fortunately I had the directions as an email. The place was super clean, good Wifi connection, very clean bathroom, plenty of parking on the property. It rained a few times over night and the area is very quiet, so slept with open windows. It is less than a mile downhill onto the road to Hana. Saw a rainbow the next morning. Very recommendable place. Jennifer was an excellent host.

My husband and I spent the most relaxing week at Haiku anuenue. We were greeted upon arrival by the friendly, helpful owner. It took no time at all to get settled and to feel at home. Then we began exploring the area - beautiful beaches, fun shopping in Paia and Makawao, and great, healthy restaurants. We also enjoyed watching the surfers. But most of all, we enjoyed the peaceful ohana and the beautiful views from the decks.

San Diego, CAAuthentic, Romantic Maui

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was vastly superior to the "tourist-y" experience most people get when they visit. This was a wonderful secluded, very private ohana in lush, gorgeous jungle far away from the crowded beaches and swarms of tourists.
The ohana was cozy, romantic and very well-priced. We just learned about the remodel and can't wait to come back and check it out. We will definitely be returning and are somewhat torn about recommending it to friends: on the one hand, it deserves to be shared, but on the other hand, I kind of want to keep it private so it's available when I need it. :) Aw heck, I recommend it. Highly. We loved our stay in Maui precisely because of where we stayed. -

I travel around us every year in my vacation. This year I went to Hawaii. It was a great idea. I stayed in Haiku anuenue for one week. Being at the end of the street, this place is peaceful and has beautiful ocean views which I loved! It was excellent. Thanks to the Jennifers (owners) warm and open heart I want to recommend it for everyone who is looking for peace, greenness and love. It's all there - all you have to do just go there. Next time I'm gonna take my boyfriend with me because he will love there.
