      Long weekend in paradise

Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in November 2012

I was visiting my friend on Big Island last weekend and was recommended to stay in Ola Kai because it is located close to Hilo but still secluded. I enjoyed staying there from the minute I drove up through the forest until the minute I left. The house is decorated in modern Hawaiian style with up to date amenities (including frozen Margarita’s glasses in the freezer!). Rooms are specious with tall cathedral ceilings, plenty of room for a family vacation. You would never feel crowded here. Large kitchen with plenty of cookware, can cook all your meals. The owner put a lot of effort decorating this place; all the small details make the place cozy and charming. And the ocean view from lanai is outstanding. During the night I enjoyed laying on the deck chair where you have sky full of stars above your head. On top of it, property has a huge back and front grassy yard with fruit trees. I think they have banana, papaya maybe mango growing there. Unfortunately, didn’t have enough time to explore the whole property.
All in all I had a blast. I liked it so much that there's been talk about doing this for the next long weekend!

      Sensational location, an absolute paradise!

Left on 10/24/2012 for a stay in August 2012

I've had the opportunity of vacationing in Hawaii several times but my stay at Ola Kai was the best by far!
The accommodation is outstanding, first class by any standards.
The location is just far enough out of town [Hilo] to offer you complete privacy but a short drive and your at the Farmers market buying fresh tropical fruits, vegetables and seafood.
If your looking for a quite, relaxing vacation or your wanting to be more adventurous, take magnificent walks through tropical rainforests, surfing, kayaking, swimming in beautiful streams or climbing to view a volcano, then I highly recommend Ola Kai for your next vacation.
      Many thanks, Ola Kai team.

      See you next year!

Impeccable vacation house in beautiful Hilo, Hawaii!

Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Ola Kai in Hilo, on the Big Island, in Hawaii is one of the greatest places I have ever been to. I don't even have words to describe this amazing property!

My boyfriend and I was there for three weeks in July and we did not want to leave! The peaceful environment was what made our stay so amazing, no city noise, no cars, no roadwork, just the peaceful sound of the wind in the trees and birds singing, and not to mention the amazing view of the ocean!

What struck me the most where the different themes that each bedroom had, there was a dragon room, an ocean room etc. They were impeccable!
These houses on the properties are the most amazing houses that I have ever stayed at, the main house has some really nice and warm colors that brightens your day as well as the little cottage! Both of the houses on the property are gorgeous and very flexible for everyone! The house is fully equipped with everything that you need, from the kitchen to the bathrooms! The houses are very flexible for all kind of people, from children to people with disabilities. There are no stairs and no threshold to get stuck on.

Ola Kai is located only 20 minutes from downtown Hilo, by car, where you can find everything you need for your stay, it is also very easy to be able to go to the other side of Big Island with a car.

Just to have the opportunity to get away from the city life for a few weeks was great! (We both live in Stockholm, Sweden)The veranda at the house is a perfect place to sit and relax with a book in your hands, and if you don't want to sit outside there are some lovely sofas to relax in, or even in the beds!

Ola Kai is the best place for a relaxing vacation when you want to get away from the city life and the noise. All you need is yourself and your partner and Ola Kai and then your vacation is made!

This is the place for the vacation that you have been searching for your whole life! Ola Kai is going to change your life, and that I know for a fact, since it changed my life and I came back to Sweden as a much more peaceful person!
