My wife and I had an enjoyable stay at the cabin, but yet close enough to run over to oscoda and Tawas to the beaches. But I'll take the woods and the cabin over the masses any day...had a nice time and the Lau's are very amicable.

My girl friend and I love going up to the cabin to get away. The atmosphere of the cabin with the fire place makes it so cozy. Bud and Barb are wonderful hosts.

Have stayed several times and each time was better than the last. The Lau's are so friendly without being intrusive. Their beagle, Riley, always greets us. Perfect log cabin experience. Love the fireplace in the winter! So much to do in the summer. We got to pick raspberries and produce from the garden and apples from the trees in the fall. Yummy! The Lau's have become our favorite vacation spot.

We have stayed at Lau's Log Cabin on several occasions and found both the facilities and the hosts to be very accommodating which made for very enjoyable stays. Your hosts, Barb and Bud, ensure you're settled in and then let you enjoy yourself yet are always available if there is something that you need. It's not always easy finding nice clean vacation rentals at a reasonable rate, in an area that provides a variety of attractions year around. I believe this is all of the above.

It is good to hear that you have been so pleased with your experience of staying at our cabin and I appreciate all your comments.

We have rented this cabin for many years to hunt out of in deer season. We have had as many as four guys at a time & generally two. We've had some very fancy cooking performed in their full kitchen served with four courses and many other spaghetti nights. Eat out or in, your choice. Evenings are comfortable reading or football games with a good beer or port. I have only known one better stone fireplace & it wasn't lined with stainless steel like theirs. There are always plenty of bull sessions for hunting lies & story-time with Bud, Riley & our buddies day or night. Barb even spoils us with a cake or delicious treat most every year. Lau's Cabin is not like a rental anymore. It's not fancy, but it feels more like home-away every year.

Good friends sometimes need spoiling and that is what you have become. Thanks, Rick, for all your positive comments.

Spent a "Girl's Weekend" at Lau's Log Cabin during the winter. The wintry weather was the backdrop for a cozy weekend, complete with fireplace!
