What Past Guests Are Saying
Burnsville, North Carolina
My husband, David, and I have stayed at this home several times. The owners are wonderfully hospitable and interesting people. We loved watching the light changing on the water, and the sound of the surf right below us as well as all of the coastal marvels of that stretch of California Coast below San Francisco. The restaurants in Half Moon Bay were quaint and fun, and we loved the whole experience.
Nestled between the ocean and Hwy 1, a gorgeous getaway for coup
Nestled between the ocean and Hwy 1 on top of a tall bluff overlooking the ocean, this property comes complete with everything you'd ever want... a gorgeous view out of every window, beautiful art displayed on the walls, an amazing kitchen, comfortable beds, a steam room and wonderful nearby places for long walks on the beach. Breathtaking views abound. You are so close to the ocean it's almost like being on a cruise ship... All you see is ocean when you look out the large west facing windows. You are also not too far from Redwoods. A car ride down Hwy 1 is another amazing way to spend a couple of hours if you can ever get yourself to venture outside the comfy abode.
An added bonus is it's so close to San Francisco airport for easy access when you land and/or to visit the city for a day of sightseeing. Nancy and Gary were wonderful hosts... helpful in every way, but gave us space. I highly recommend this property as a gorgeous getaway for a couple or a team retreat.
Marvelous, magical, magnificent stay
What an elegant, beautiful, comfortable environment. The idyllic setting, spacious rooms, breathtaking view, and kind, attentive hosts made this a vacation made in heaven. The property was impeccably clean, the owners helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Just returned from a lovely weekend on the California Coast. This home is more than you can imagine from the photos.
The minute you walk into the door you have a beautiful view of the Pacific. There is plenty of space for everyone to have alone time or gather together for a cup of coffee or glass of wine while watching the pelicans fly in formation across the ocean. The kitchen is beautiful; cooking on the viking range while watching the surf is certainly a treat. Everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal is there at your finger tips.
The bedrooms are roomy yet private with luxury bedding. Tv's in all rooms, I'll have to trust the owners that they work!! Who needs TV with that view.
The owners welcomed us graciously and checked in to see if we needed anything through out our stay, we felt very welcomed. (Our daughter was in a production at the Coastal Rep Theatre and when we returned from opening night, a "congratulations" note was on the door.) Gary's suggestions on places to eat were spot on.
You are a short drive to the harbor where you can rent kayaks or subs and Half Moon Bay is just a little further down the road.
We will most certainly find a reason to return!
