WIttenburg, Nova ScotiaWas everything promised and more!!!
Left on 06/10/2013 for a stay in June 2013
Had a wonderful time, in beautiful home... furnishings throughout were nothing but the best. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best, but didn't hamper our visit.
Was pleasantly surprised by the 'child friendly' environment that we found ourselves in, as we had three grand children under the age of four and a child gate, bunk beds and a crib made our stay a very enjoyable one.
The lovely quiet road, the home is found on added to the peacefulness of the vacation. Looking forward to returning... to take advantage of lake and canoe. -
Family Girls Weekend
HalifaxPerfect!
Left on 05/18/2013 for a stay in May 2013
This is my second time here. First time was in the winter with several girlfriends, this time was for our annual Family Girls Weekend! This is our 7th year doing our annual girls weekend and the first time the location met and surpassed everyone's expectations! We have been looking for a spot like this for the past 7 years to save the troubles of finding a descent location. I am happy to say that this will be our new Nova Scotia location for our annual Girl's Weekend! It is very clean, well stocked with everything you need, lots of spots for sleeping... including comfy couches :) The outdoor area is perfect for children and adults. This is a great spot for Families, Friends and even a romantic getaway!!! Thank you Mill Lake Getaway

HalifaxPerfect Getaway in every way!
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in February 2013
The whole process was very well thought out and planned - booking the rental, reaching the place, getting the key, all instructions etc.
The cottage was beautiful, and that's an understatement. Very tastefully decorated, stocked with everything you may ever need, wonderful view, beds and couches are luxe and cozy. The location is amazing! Right on the lake, beautiful view, very calm and noise-free.
We locked ourselves out (woops) and called the property manager and he was there within 5 mins to let us in - can't get better than that.
We often go to cottages for weekends to take a break and this was undoubtedly one of the best ones in the past 3 years! The only problem is.. when I tried to get another weekend in summer, they were already full booked for the year by February - that says something about the place! -

Sackville, NSRelaxing Weekend Winter Getaway!
Left on 03/25/2013 for a stay in February 2013
Our family enjoyed a great weekend at Mill Lake! The house had everything you needed and more; I don't think there was anything they hadn't thought of. The owner, Rebecca, was very nice & pleasant to book with and very accommodating. Our damage deposit was returned as promised with no problems. We hope to get back for another stay in the future...it is definitely one of the best places we have ever rented!

Left on 09/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Our family stayed at the cottage in august and were blessed with stunning views, comfortable accommodation and great fun on the lake.
The cottage has everything you could ask for as a home from home. We used the canoe on a number of occaisions and my son loved swimming in the lake.
This made for a very relaxing end to our Nova Scotia vacation, and our only regret was that we couldn't stay for longer!
The playground near the white church in Upper Musquodoboit was also brilliant and a must visit if you have kids! -

Great place to stay. Every utensil, pot, pan, or gadget you would possibly need in a kitchen, is in the kitchen. The house is beautiful, and on a quiet lake with friendly neighbors. So peaceful and relaxing!

Left on 06/06/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Rebecca was so attentive when I was booking our stay, she was accommodating to our special needs and requests and very prompt in e-mail responses to all my questions.
I wasn't expecting the house to be as big as it is, and it is a good layout and well-equipped for families or group stays for sure. The surroundings are so serene and beautiful, I couldn't get over how peaceful it was by that lake!
I would love to go back! -

TamworthBeautiful House & Beautiful Location
Left on 05/26/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Mill Lake Getaway is exactly what is says - a fabulous house where you can get away from it all & leave the hustle & bustle of life behind. The house has everything that you could need - plenty of kitchen appliances/pots & pans/cutlery etc, lovely comfortable bedrooms (we were spoilt for choise for which ones to use as there was only 3 of us!), and great living areas (living/dining room upstairs & a cosy living room downstairs with a huge TV & a selection of board games to play. There is a small supermarket & a gas station in the village (a short car drive away) but if you're looking for non-stop shopping & nightlife then you will need to travel further afield. We loved it & wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

meaghers grant, nova scotiaPerfect vacation place for our extended family
Left on 03/28/2012 for a stay in September 2011
Each year we go away with our daughters, their husbands and now the grandbabies. Last year we chose this location because it had 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and that it had a highchair, playpen and a wonderful swing set, sandbox, play house - all this and located directly on a beautiful lake. We always look for a place that is large enough to keep us all happy if it happens to rain. We were in luck - 4 days of hot and sunny weather. We spent nearly every minute outdoors.
This house has a huge front deck which overlookss the lake - awesome!
There is a very nice firepit area, a good supply of wood; lots of lawn chairs; a canoe to use as well.
We enjoyed the quietness of this area - there are a few boats but no one is ripping up and down, causing a disturbance.
Before heading out to this location I would advise stopping at a larger grocery store to stock up on your food items because this is situationed in a very small community which offers a gas station and a Pizza Shop with a few grocery items.
The owner was wonderful to deal with.
