Located in Melkridge a small Northumbrian hamlet situated along the C2C cycle route it has excellent transport links located just off the A69.

The Old Church is just 15 minutes from Hexham and 10 minutes from the world heritage site Hadrian’s Wall allowing guests to explore the stunning historic surrounding countryside and learn about the Roman Empire and the historic military legac...y right on the doorstep.

The wood burning stove is the focal point of the spacious lounge on the ground floor and is perfect to snuggle in front of to relax and watch the flames dance, but it is the second lounge on the mezzanine area which is the real feature of this property; with its breathtaking full height stained glass windows it is a spiritual place to rest, unwind and make peace with the world.

The contemporary kitchen is very well equipped and the separate dining room has an additional sitting area.

A double bedroom and bathroom with a separate nursery room is useful for those seeking ground floor facilities and on the first floor there are another two bedrooms; both with king size beds and tastefully furnished with oak furniture. There is the convenience of an additional bathroom on this floor too.

On the second floor are an additional two bedrooms - again both with solid oak king size beds. The master bedroom also enjoys the luxury of en suite facilities too.

Located within 2 miles of Haltwhistle, the centre of Britain, The Old Church is located opposite the village green in the hamlet of Melkridge less than two miles due south of the World Heritage Site of Hadrians Wall at the northern most point of the penines close to the Scottish Borders and only 30 minutes West of Newcastle Upon Tyne and 45 minutes North East from the banks of Lake Ullswater in the English Lake District.
