We had a fantastic time at BWV#5. The apartment was very spacious and light. The bedrooms were tidy and decorated with lots of taste. I loved the furniture in there! The only downside was that the fan in the room with the single beds didn't work as the dial was broken and the remote control for the main airconditioning unit didn't work either which resulted in either of us having to climb on a chair to turn it off or on without being able to adjust it. our feet were black after an evening of walking around the apartment even though the floor looked clean...
The birdlife was rather noisy but that didn't stop us from enjoying having breakfast out on the terrace. The fact that Coles Online delivers to your door is fantastic and the fact that the manager was so accomodating because the delivery had a cut off date and we arrived one day later. As such, Dean the manager ensured our food got delivered into the house and stored in the fridge. That's what I call service!
The views from the balcony/terrace are simply breathtaking even when it rains and at night. We never got enough of the panoramic views.
The golf buggies are an absolute plus and very fun to drive! We're definitely going back next year and if possible, to the same apartment! I highly recommend it. -

Blue Water View 05 is fabulous!
Just beware of the cockatoos which dive on any food left unattended on the verandah. -

Melbourne, AustraliaVery pleasant and comfortable stay. A great place, we loved it!

2 adults and a 10 year old our first trip to this beautiful island. Firstly we were greeted at the airport by a lovely English girl who was very curteous and helpful. In our very own buggy (included in the accommodation price and you wouldn't want to be here without it) we took the very short drive to this lovely apartment. On arrival we were shown around this light and airy nicely furnished spacious apartment.
The bedrooms, both with King size beds are very good with enormous cupboard space. The main bedroom is nicer than the other which you can have two single beds or they join them together and make up as a King. Our kid thought it was wonderful in her King sized bed but complained about how uncomfortable and hard the bed in actual fact was! The TV in here is old and didn't really work a new one with DVD would be ideal to keep the kids occupied at bed time! A couple more softer pillows would be nice also as they only cater for those who like firm.
The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need. Washing up liquid was in the cupboard as well as cleaning products. A little laundry with wash and dryer and sink as well as iron and ironing board supplied.
A fantastic Weber Q family size is out on the beautiful balcony where you can enjoy splendid uninterupted views.
The bathrooms are a little outdated and could have done with a much better clean. It is perhaps useful to note that most of the staff that service these apartments are Back Packers travelling around and earning some money along the way so you cannot expect that they have been well trained in the cleaning department because although neat and appeared clean, 30 min after arrival our bare feet were very black which in my view indicates the tiles were not mopped. I was told that staff would move on, on a regular basis.
It is exactly as the pictures on the Web Site show though. It was advertised as a luxury apartment. I'm not so sure about the luxury but it is nice, spacious and we really did enjoy this place. I would say stay here again for sure, it is not 5 star I'd give it a 4 so with that in mind you will not be disappointed.
A very friendly Peacock likes to wake you in the morning with his loud screech. We became very fond of this bird and the young one eagerly awaited his dusk return to sit and squwark on the boundry fence!
One word of warning ... Never ever leave your balcony door open while you are out as we came home to find a friendly Cocky sitting on the sofa eating happily. I'm sure he must have invited his whole family in as there was a huge mess. Every bit of food he could get to was destroyed. The tea bags, sugar, cereal, bread etc had been broken into and spread from one end of the apartment to the other! He had even been in the bathroom pecking at the soap. A warning sign in the apartment would have been useful as we had no idea the birds liked to make themselves at home this way!
Lois, a helpful and very knowlegeable lady was able to acommodate us well and also included a voucher for two adults for a dinner cruise. We chose "On The Edge" which is a wonderful day out with lunch included on a fantastic boat with an awesome crew. Make sure you go and visit the beautiful Whitehaven beach.
Also we enjoyed the animal wildlife place. (Breakfast is pretty average but you can hold the cute Koala and have your photo taken. Don't forget to talk to Eddie the Cocky while you are there!
The italian restaurant on the waterfront is wonderful, such nice food and staff make sure you go there.
Don't bother with Coles on line delivered it was a waste of time (the Cocky got into everything at the door before we could unpack it and icecream arrived totally melted). Everything you need for a holiday is at the General Store and no different in price.
The only negative thing I can really say is that the mid week cleaning (we stayed for 10 days) was quoted at $385.00 which I think is just out of this world! Needless to say we cleaned it ourselves and spent the money on very delicious cocktails at the resort pool near the beach. (You must try the Splice)! We used the resort pool and went to the beach everyday, the one at the apartment is nowhere near as nice.
Remember too that you must not drink and drive even in a golf buggy as the buggy Police set up a Boozebus (which is funny to see)! The walk is hilly but I walked up and down for an hour every morning (with plenty of huff and puff), the views are stunning so it makes the exercise very enjoyable.
Overall we loved Hamilton Island and would definitely stay at Blue Water Views 05 again. Thank you -

The accomodation was roomy, clean and very modern. The BBQ was the perfect size for entertaining and the buggy with seatbelts was a treat. The appartment could do with a few more bowls and plates but apart from that there was nothing else lacking.

Staying apartment style with your own buggy to get around and pool if you don't wish to go to main resort is fantastic. Ordering Coles Online and using the local grocery shop very convenient. Plenty of sleeping areas for the children and large family room environment. Huge plus is full kitchen and laundry facilities. Very practical for families. Bbq facilities on your own balcony great idea!
