We arrived on a lovely hot 35 degree day and we were all looking forward to getting to our apartment and unpacking in a cool environment. After around an hour of trying to figure out was wrong with the aircon we phoned the owner who advised us it was broken and would be fixed either later that day or tomorrow. Being pregnant and hot and also having a 3 year old to deal with wasn't the greatest start. Aircon did get fixed later that day, although it would have been nice if someone told us that it wasn't working upon arrival. Also, only 2 out of the 4 advertised Tv's have normal TV, the ones down stairs only play Dvd's and no Dvd's were provided. Once again no information provided. The Tv's upstairs didn't work 80% of the time as the property had very poor reception and the digital Tv's were constantly displaying "no signal". We wouldn't stay there again. My family and I holiday at Hamilton Island one or twice a year and have been since my husband and I got married there in 2006. Never experienced any problems until recently.

We recently stayed at casuarina cove 19 with 2 families consisting of 4 adults, a 3 yr old, 9 month old and 3 month old.
The house was just perfect for us. Getting our food delivered from coles and being able to cook most of our meals made the holiday cheaper and easier with the kids.
The buggy worked fantastic and we were all able to fit on with us mothers carrying our babies in our slings.
Being able to just go where ever when ever made the holiday easy.
The deck was huge and had a spectacular view over the marina and the passage. The kids loved watching the planes take off and land. The house was big enough that we didn't feel like we were stepping on each others toes.
We used a babysitter one night and went out on a sunset cruise and for dinner, she was fantastic and all the kids were tucked up in bed sleeping when we arrived home.
The house had a child safety gate which was definately needed with our lot!!
Although the weather was a little chilly we all still went swimming and made the most of our beach holiday.
The hot plates on the stove just needed to be lit with a match but that was a small thing.
The house was in a fantastic location and we could walk both into town and up to the lookout for our sunset cocktails.
All in all we would not hesitate on booking this house again and had an unforgetable holiday...
House was perfect place for our family holiday.
Great location close to everything. Casuraina 19 had everything we required for the week. Loved the upstairs deck - lived on it but some comfy chairs would have been great. We had problems with the gate at top of stairs as it wouldnt stay up because there was nothing solid for it to attach to... made it tricky with a 14mth old.
Was great to have pick up and drop off and to be able to stay at house till time to go to airport. Read more

We were only here for 4 days but it was a wonderful time. We were met at the airport and had our first experience of driving the golf buggy. Once you got used to driving them it was such an easy way of nipping down to the store or getting across to the beach. The hill is a bit steep if you are on foot.
The villa was very well appointed with a lot more than you find in some rental accommodation. I did struggle a bit with some of the burners on the hob though and couldn't get them to work, but it wasn't a problem as I wasn't out to cook a full 3 course dinner.
The views of the harbour from the balcony were stunning and much better than in the willas on either side. It was lovely to sit out there eating breakfast and the birds didn't need any encouragement to come and watch us. At times they were cheeky enough to come onto the table and a kookaburra even took some food off my plate. I wasn't worried, but if you had small children you might want to be on the lookout for this.
I did manage to lock us out of both bathrooms as I was unfamiliar with the locks on the door and didn't realise that the door would shut and lock. This was resolved by wiggling a straightened out paperclip in the small hole on the door knob. This was better than the option of getting a locksmith in to breakdown the doors which was the option suggested when we called to report the problem.
There are almost always a few things that don't work out as you might expect, but nothing that marred our visit. We had read some of the previous reviews so knew to exoect that things would be a bit on the expensive side so were prepared for that. All of this added up to an experience that we won't forget in a hurry. We have some fantastic photos and wonderful memories. Read more

These apartments are like standalone little townhouses and really are very spacious for families particularly for longer stays. I like them because they have kitchen, laundry and family room so it makes it easy when the kids need to sleep, they have their own rooms so they aren't disturbed by the goings on in the room unlike hotel room accommodation with everyone all in one room. This apartment has extremely comfortable beds, which was superb. The oven desperately needs replacing was quite unclean, the water temperature in the showers went from boiling hot to cold without the ability to regulate a consistent temperature which was burning but not scolding, extremely unpleasant, and definitey put a dampener on the stay. The drain plug in the shower kept coming off and I would be concerned about children in these showers. The downstairs shower no better. My teenage son didn't have one consistent temperature shower there in a week. The air conditioning in one of the bedrooms completely stopped working and needed however to the owners credit, they had it repaired as soon as I convinced the managing agent that I did in fact know how to work the air con, and that yes it was fine in all the other rooms. The verandah was glorious to sit outside and eat breakfast, or play family board games with the kids at night. This unit looks like it is slowly being renovated, new paint, etc...(and they need it as they are little outdated). In saying all of that, we have had some wonderful family holidays staying in Cas Cove apartments, provided the hot water / shower issues had been fixed, and the air con working & perhaps the kitchen needs a little reno you would be comfortable staying here. I have probably been generous in my rating due the fabulous beds and doonas, magnificently homely touch, and as I mentioned the hot water problems to the agent I am hoping they would be rectified by now. (PS Very close to the party action on NY Eve so a bit noisy but its only one night) Read more
Thank you so much for your feedback, it is sincerely appreciated.
The property is under new ownership and the new owner has done a great job in freshening up the property – which you seem to have noticed. Thank you.
We were unaware of the hot water issues at the time, however I am happy to say that these issues have been rectified. Thank you for making us aware.
The oven is thoroughly cleaned after each stay, however it is a slightly older oven. It will be taken into consideration for replacement by the owner.
All of the air-conditioning units are on power saving shut-off system, meaning that they will turn off if doors/windows are opened. We have a lot of people who are not aware of this and therefore confuse it with being broken. Having sent many a tradesman out to service air-con units that are completely fine, we do now ask a number of questions when it is reported to us that it appears to be not working. In no way are we questioning your ability to use the system - 9/10 times it is because a door is open ?
Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
We hope to see you again soon.

This is a lovely apartment that has great beds. There is everything you need at the apartment - it was beautiful to sit out on the veranda having a bbq as the sun went down. It is easy to get around the island with the golf cart and nothing is too far away. Very relaxing

the contact before we arrived was very propmt. There seemed to be confusion over the overall costs - what was on the intranet and what we paid. The home was great, very modern and had all we needed. great balconies, is close to the harbour and bus that travels the island. the contact we had during our stay was very helpful. we were at the unit about 10 minutes after collecting our luggage at the airport.
we had a fantastic holiday! Would love to come back & stay there

The house was great, excellent location, great views, and a great size place for 3 couples.
We received excellent service.
We would love to come back and stay in this apartment again, everyone loved it...and our friends were envious of our big deck and great views.

I thoroughly enjoyed the home we stayed in an so did the 5 teenagers I had alone with me.
I found the home spotless and the service was great. I needed some me time and I had just that and also my two daughters and I had lots of time together as well which was special.
The TV didn't work very well and it took the service people three days to come out but it was finally fixed. At the least the next people won't have problems.
