Gold CoastAmazing stay
Left on 04/03/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This was our first trip to Hamilton Island.
We stayed in apartment Cooinda Gardens 4 - the place had oodles of room and we thought the location and view was great :)
The buggy was handy and lots of fun for the kids.
The valet collecting us from the airport and returning us was so good.
We will return to Hamilton Island again and will aim to stay in the very same place.
Convenience store on the island has most things and the prices weren't too bad - of course you pay more than you would on the main land. We arranged for a Coles On Line delivery which was very handy.
The wildlife park was one of the families favourite things = we visited every day.
A word for people staying mostly close the windows at night when you go to bed - we had a 3am visitor scare the daylights out us - a possum chase! (the windows have screens but some of them don't have the hand cover section on them- it squeezed through there) -

My family and I stayed at Cooinda Gardens 4 for 5 nights in late March, and absolutely loved our time there. The amenities and comforts were outstanding, the property was very clean and well-maintained, and the landscape surrounding the house was breathtaking. The location was perfect for us...with a short drive in any direction, we could visit the island. . I would definitely recommend this property.

Stayed here for a week, were met by 'Vince' when we arrived at airport. Helped back with our luggage & given broad tour of island on way. Buggy was excellent, nice location not far from town on buggy- we stayed 7 of us so 2 trips each time but this was no hassle & free busses were available if needs be. We're very surprised at how much space there was & outdoor area. Bbq was great as was shared pool. Plenty bathrooms - so no backlog of us waiting for showers. Would recommend to others for sure.

Service was great, office staff & staff on island extremely helpful & responsive.
Place has a great layout (esp. for 2 families), loads of space (even with 7 adults), excellent location, great amenities. -

CaloundraWonderful Holiday
Left on 12/13/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Cooinda Gardens is a lovely apartment, spacious four bedrooms, however the fact that there were 8 of us and only one buggy was a problem as it is so far away from activities on the Island. We love cooking and decided to eat in most nights as we had food delivered from the Main Land, however the kitchen only had the basics which was a little disappointing. The view was lovely, even better if they cut down the trees in front. Enjoyed being able to walk out of your bedroom into the villa pool only yards away.

Hi Carrie,
Thank you for your feedback.
It's great to hear you enjoyed your holiday; It really is a beautful place.
The 4-seater buggy's are definitely a great way to explore the Island. Unfortunately 6-seater buggy's don't have the power to handle the hills. Hopefully you were able to utilise the free shuttle bus service or hired another buggy.
Hamilton Island is a National Park and is restricted in removing trees to enhance views. Some enjoy nature views, so I guess it is the best of both worlds in that sense.
We look foward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Kind Regards,

We stayed as a family group of 8 adults for 5 nights. Everyone loved the spaciousness, decor and amenities of the house. We visited the pool in the complex every day, which at the time of year that we visited, meant had it to ourselves. The verandah looked out to the water and provided a beautiful setting. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave!

Was a fabulous holiday and thought Cooinda Gardens was perfect for 3 families travelling together. Wonderful view and although we shared a pool, it was great with the kids.

the unit was gorgeous, the views spectacular. the rain spoiled our stay a bit but the back deck saved the day when we couldn't use the front one. Lovely unit well presented and clean, very large. The birds where entertaining, would come back.

Location was nice but very dirty, under the sofa was bits and pieces of food, rotten food. The BBQ was not clean although told in advance if we don't clean it on departure we will pay 75 dollars, don't recommend it and never will stay there again

We were 4 sisters travelling together, we had a fantastic time and would do it again. We recieved our food and beverages from the mainland which worked out perfectly. The only hassle we experienced was some of the items did not work in the apartment. Like lamps, dvd player and the stero, which annoyed me. Also, the buggy ran out of power which left us stranded late at night...im so glad that you have great security on the island as the men were so helpful to us. I think on the handover for the apartment, it should be given with a little more information, especially for the buggy.. Just to say that each time you return to the apartment that you put the buggy on the charger and then maybe it may not run out of charge...we didnt know this and therefore were left stranded with a empty buggy in the middle of the night. :(. Otherwise the holiday was fantastic and we would do it all over again.

Staying at the Cooinda Gardens 4 was a fabulous idea. Sharing my holiday with my daughters, grandparents and brother. To rent a room rather then at the resort meant we could all be together. Save money by preparing some meals at home and relax without the interuption of other guests on the island.
Then when wanting to be more social, we were able to go down to the island resorts, pools, bars and restaurants.
Having the buggy meant another cost saving.
I would defiantly stay again in rented accommodation.
Most memerable holiday yet.
Thanks :-) -

Our 1 week holiday was excellent...from being met at the airport...to being helped out by very professional and caring staff...to the comfort and luxury of the villa and a bonus evening Seafood cruise!!! Maybe a little far from the seaside restaurants and nightlife but the buggy left at our disposal for the week was great!! We would visit Hamilton Island again but maybe visit in a different month...maybe Sept or Oct!!! The weather in June was good but the water clarity on the beach was not very clear!! We loved all the pools in the resorts and swam in every one of them...thoroughly enjoyed it!! Only one downfall and that is the cocktail bar in the pool area was not always opened in the afternoons.

SydneyReview - November'10
Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in November 2010
I travelled to Hamilton Island with friends for my birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was very spacious, meaning we didn't feel crowded and it wasn't too 'Big Brother'ish!
The surround sound wasn't working which was a shame as we did have some rainy days in the house.
Also some board games would have been good for when the storms do hit.
Staff were helpful with the check in and out.
Overall a great holiday.
