In a good spot in Hamilton Island - away from the noise and up on the hill where you get a great view.
Comfortable bed, lots of space, quiet, great view, had washing up liquid, condiments etc which helps when you are there for a short stay, loved the inclusion of the buggy. Coles online delivery to the island was a big plus as meal options are limited with a family.
The Dvd's weren't working and it took a while to get maintenance, there are small bugs on the floor and on the dining table in the living area but they didn't eat much!
we were dropped abruptly at the apartment after pick up from the airport with no rundown of facilities.
You can access the Edge pool apparently which is supposed to be nice but no one told us this until the last day.

We had a great four night stay at Shorelines. The booking was easy, giving us all the information needed regarding transport, arrival/departure details, things to do, and online grocery shopping which was one of the greatest advantages of staying at Shorelines. We were met by friendly valet staff, and had the use of amenities fully explained. The accommodation was very clean, fresh & well equipped. It was in a perfect location, not too far to walk to the main street, and a nice walk over to the main resort. Our whole family enjoyed Hamilton Island immensely and were pleased that we were also able to use the facilities at the main resort even though we weren't staying there. All island staff were friendly and helpful, as were the tour operators we booked with...we will be back. Thank you.
Wonderful stay at Shorelines!

We stayed at Shorelines 04 for 3 nights in Dec 2013 to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. We were very impressed with the efficient and courteous collection and transfer service from the airport. Our lovely quiet, electric (no fumes) golf buggy was ready for us to drive from the airport (following our escort) to the apartment. The apartment was lovely, and the view from the living room and master bedroom was sensational. Beds were very comfortable and good quality linen. Spa bath in the master ensuite was also a nice treat. The air-con units were excellent and very effective (although apartment was very hot when we arrived, so a tip would be for them to cool it before guest arrive as we were sweltering when we arrived with the humidity). The apartment was in a great location (up on the ridge)for getting down to town, and up to the lookout / sunset bar on the northern point of the island (near Qualia). Everything is very close on Hamilton though. Balcony was good to enjoy sunset drinks and nibbles. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed, including some condiments and other pantry items that people had kindly left behind like oil, spices, gladwrap, etc which was very handy not to have to buy for a short stay.
Only negatives with the apartment were that there were quite a lot of tiny ants in the kitchen (coming in small cracks in the window sill and under the front door), so we had to keep food sealed and covered very well (or in the fridge). This seemed to be a maintenance issue that needs attending to. Also, on our first night there was a lot of noise when we went to bed from a rowdy group partying and yelling around the pool, which is right beneath the apartment, until well after 11pm (when the pool closed much earlier). Dishwasher handle was broken off making it hard to open the dishwasher - another maintenance issue that needs repair.
Apart from this, it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return.
Apartment in need of TLC - but the view is amazing!

1. Service, location and the view were superb.
2. Apartment was a little dirty, and many of the fittings were broken, the bedding and curtains stained, and the floors, walls and surfaces covered in dents and marks.
3. I'll definitely holiday on Hamilton Island again, but most likely stay elsewhere.
Loved Hamilton island & Shorelines!

We had a fantastic holiday staying in Shorelines 4 - lovely apartment with views to die for! Service fantastic with airport pick -up and drop off by friendly staff. Loved the sunset crusie that was a free bonus! Would definitely return to Hamikton Island in a heartbeat and stay in the same accommodation.

A fantastic apartment with a wonderful view. Perfect for families - we took 2 kids, 5 and 13 years old who absolutely loved it. The layout provides plenty of space. It is also in a great location. There are a number of stairs within the apartment which would not suit people with difficulty walking up and down stairs. We would definitely stay here again.

We were impressed from the moment we were met at the airport. We were blown away with the apartment. The view was amazing and the layout of the apartment was perfect for two couples. Two bathrooms, 3 toilets and plenty of room to move around. It was paeceful and the buggy made it easy to get around. This was our 5th trip to Hamilton island and we have sampled different accomodation but this was the best. The cockatoos entertained us at thier constant attemts to gain access to the apartment but we managed to win. They are so cute though. We had our daughter inlaw with us who is from Russia and she was madly sending photos back home to her family. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. If I had to find a negative it would be the stairs but this was not a problem for us and we are in our 60's.
wonderful but watch for the cockatoo's

Shorelines 4 was great for our family of 4. Specious and modern. Beautiful westerly view from the balcony so watching the sun go down each evening was fantastic. Access to the Edge pool was wonderful. Watch for the cockatoos who are very cheeky and get in through the kitchen flyscreens and take your loaf of bread and generally make a mess. Also handy was we could order groceries from Coles on line and it was delivered the day we arrived so no immediate shopping to do. The buggy was great fun except in rain as it has no plastic side covers so the seat was drenched as was the driver! Also to save some money, BYO snorkle/mask/flippers for catseye beach low tide activities.
All in all a wonderful holiday.
Excellent family holiday

We stayed at Shorelines for 4 nights in Sept and loved it. From the pick up at the airport, to the layout of the apartment and a great view everything was better than we anticipated. We only booked 4 nights because we were concerned that being an island it would be expensive with limited activities to keep us entertained. However we could happily have stayed longer and will return. Every day was an adventure for our 2 yr old. Just sitting on the balcony watching boats and birds and helicopters go by was entertainment for him. Top that with 3 whale sightings, the pools and riding in the buggy and he was in heaven!
We found the apartment clean and pleasant. We didn't have any reason to contact the agents during our stay so can't comment on them except for the pick up and drop off which were fine. It was handy having the bedrooms downstairs and living upstairs so when our son was asleep we didn't disturb him. He was woken early by the birds each day so no sleep in but I guess that can't be helped.
My comments for improvement to our experience would be that it is a unit at the top so it is a hike down several staircases to go to the edge pool. I was pregnant and couldn't go on my own with a toddler so we only went there once. That said the resort pools were ideal for kids and so was the beach so we did that more. A bit of TLC would bring this apartment to being near perfect. The information folder needs updating as it referred to kids toys that we couldn't find and other out of date details. The overall look would be much improved if the floors were polished. More crockery, glasses etc would be necessary if there were 4 adults staying. We did experience the ants so don't leave food uncovered in the kitchen!
Overall we would return, it was very comfortable, had a great outlook and was a reasonable price for an island holiday. Groceries and restaurants were not cheap but not outrageous and we ordered fresh seafood delivered which was excellent on the BBQ.

Shorelines 04 is a wonderful apartment and has alot of potential, however the cleaniness of the apartment was a real let down. Crumbs all over the floor, cobwebs in all corners, poo stains in the toilet, hair in the bathroom sink that was a big ball, obviously it had been there for some time, mirrors had stains, kitchen bench was sticky, ben linen was dirty. Was not expecting all of that especially from the pictures on the website where everything looks immaculate. What a let down. On my first day I was cleaning the kitchen bench and toilets. Then to top it off some friends came for a barbeque and commented on the state of filth it was in. Also at 7.00am the fire alarm decided to go off, boy that was startling, couldn't stop it because it was in the highest pitch part of the roof. Thank goodness our valet came with a extented broom handle and knocked it from the roof. Shorelines is a wonderful apartment but the cleaners need to clean it properly. Hamilton Island itself was amazing, a great place, the location of shorelines was great, the buggy made it real fun for the kids and the adults. The valet service we recieved was great. It was a wonderful holiday.

The appartment was great and we had a wonderful holiday. I loved the view...However, whatever cleaning was done before our arrival must have been rushed. The first thing I did was step on a piece of cracker and there were more food particals around and under the dining table. The handrail on the stairs was very dirty (sticky and gunky)as were the chairs or stools. We rushed to see the view only to have it marred by the dirty glass doors and particularly the glass railings (I watched somebody scrub these in a neighbouring appartment so ours must have been an exception). The day we left (we got a late checkout which was really good)the valet arrived promptly but just stood at the door while I dragged 2 large heavy suitcases up the stairs (I was travelling alone with 3 young children under 8). After I dragged one up with difficulty I told him I had another and he just nodded and stood there...It obivously wasn't part of the service to help with luggage but I would have thought just out of common courtesy...At the airport he left me at the parking area with several pieces of luggage and 3 young children. It was obvious I was going to have difficulty moving anywhere. A little help would have made all the difference! Also, although we each were provided with a bath towel we were given just one hand towel between 4 of us for 3 bathrooms!

Just wanted to say what a terrific time we had at Shorelines, Hamilton Island. We travelled with 2 teenagers and had a wonderful time doing a real mix of activities - snorkelling, hiring a tinnie, helicopter ride, reef trip. We all loved the pool at The Edge and wished we could stay longer. Truly memorable holiday and beautiful accommodation with stunning views.

My husband and I needed a bit of time out and that is exactly what we got. The apartment was fantastic to veg. out in and sit on the balcony to watch the planes come in and the boats going back and forth. It was great being met at the airport by our lovely host, who then drove us past the main parts of town and up to our apartment. Nothing can be faulted about our stay except that we can't live there permanently.

You walk through the door and see the view of the ocean. The balcony was roomy and very relaxing. The main bedroom also had the same wonderful view, even from the spa in the ensuit. What more could you ask for.

We came for a girls' weekend away & were so amazed at the layout, comfort & facilities of the apartment. And of course the views were unbelievably breathtaking.
So good that we spent more time in the apartment with good food & wine than actually going out, although I would have to say that we did veture to the Yacht club a few times. Definately a favourite.

We had a great holiday in Shoreline 04 starting with the booking process and continuing all the way through our stay. The booking process was very easy and simple and the staff were fantastic. We were met at the airport and transported to Shoreline 04 where everything was explained to us. We did have a bit of trouble with the golf cart which it turned out had a faulty charger and when we broke down returning after dinner one night, all we had to do was make one phone call and we were promptly rescued even though it was late on Saturday night. The apartment was great with all the facilities we needed and in a great spot with fantastic views. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic, though checkin was very unfriendly and matter of fact. Dealt with the manager after this who put up curtains for us (as there wasn't any) and he was fantastic. The Edge Pool a highlight. And the unit was very well equipped, although there wasn't a stereo or any sort as advertised or home theatre.

Very nice place with lovely hill position. Clean, quiet (exept friendly birds who keep us company during breakfast)
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for privacy, comfort and relaxing deck/porch overlooking water.
We find that Hamilton Island is not the happier place for teenagers, but with appartment space, split levels and position, we manage to get our privacy and rest.

Beautiful Island, idyllic spot to relax and enjoy some down time with young (6 month old) baby. Use of golf buggy and having a fully contained kitchen made our trip easy. Awesome views from the apartment, gorgeous pool area, very comfortable apartment. Quite spacious for a holiday apartment. We enjoyed delightful holiday and would certainly return.
