SydneyNice place to stay
Left on 04/02/2013 for a stay in March 2013
We stayed in Shorelines 09 for a week. We were wanting something private and self-contained so we weren't relying on going to restaurants for all of our meals. It was very convenient for what we were looking for, very close the marina and restaurants and absolutely stunning view.
Our main and only complaint was that the bed was very hard and we found it difficult to get a good nights sleep.
Otherwise, the house was clean and just as described. My husband was happy with the Tv's (most important!) and the other household amenities worked well.
It was terrific to have the buggy for the week as the house is at the top of a very large hill, and great to use to get around the island.
Great for use with a family, (although we used it for our honeymoon). -

CanadaWonderful Christmas spent at shoreline 9 apartment
Left on 02/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We spent 4 nights at this apartment and loved it. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the apartment had everything we could have needed. In previous reviews, I had read that the apartment had worn out cooking utensils or a lack of but we found that everything in the apartment was in brand new shape and all we needed for cooking was available. The edge pool was magnificent!! The island itself is just beautiful. We are from Canada and this was our first trip to australia and we consider this stay one of our highlights!

SydneyFantastic views and Edge pool, nicely appointed, spacious
Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in October 2012
Great location (and a good workout for morning walks!) with second to none views out over Dent, Plum Pudding Island and across to Shute Harbour on the mainland -- loved watching all the boat movements, planes landing, helicopters, etc.
Being able to use the Edge Pool was a big drawcard and would get us back there again - simply stunning.
Apartment was nicely done, spacious - would have been great to have a few more pots and pans, utensils in the kitchen (but then I am a dedicated cook, even on hols!). Airconditioning throughout made sleeping very comfortable.
Biggest negative was the BBQ -- just a small, well worn Sunbeam plug in number which when entertaining for 6-8 ppl made things pretty difficult -- would have expected something bigger for this type of property. Other negative was the sofa bed which was broken -- had we really needed to use it, would have been an issue (we made do with cushions on the floor as it was only for one night with the additional guest) -- again for this type of property and $, expected this would be in order.
We'd definately stay again though -- our delivered groceries had been placed in the apartment when we arrived by the meet & greet folk which was greatly appreciated. -

BrisbaneUnbeatable views - easy living!
Left on 06/07/2012 for a stay in April 2012
A fantastic property with unrivalled views out to the Whitsunday passage. Afternoon wine with cheese watching the sunset over the water was a daily highlight. While the apartment was definitely luxurious in many aspects the only disappointment was in the kitchen - basic appliance and utensils were not up to the expected standard the rest of the apartment delivered...specifically very poor quality kitchen Knife (for the tarrif paid I would expect good quality knives), poor quality corkscrew and vegetable peeler, and no sponge to wipe kitchen down!! Sounds pedantic but when you pay good money for such a property these things matter. Otherwise it was a fantastic property and thoroghly worthwhile stay.

Friendly welcome at the airport with buggy to take us to the apartment. Lovely modern, clean apartment with everything we could need. Location on the island was perfect with a great view of the stunning sunsets from the balcony.

Overall very good however a couple of things would have improved the stay.
1 The vacuum did not suck
2 The kitchen was considered poorly equipped for the money. ie small frypan - lack of pots, cutting boards, quality knives etc. A littel money spent here would be a good thing -

MelbourneSold, will never stay in hotel accom again
Left on 08/30/2011 for a stay in June 2011
At first i was looking into staying in Hotel accom on the Island. We were travelling to Hamilton Island to get married. After having problems getting into the hotels for the dates we wanted, we come across the website for booking the private accom. Thank god. It was the best decision we made. We would not hesitate to book into the private accom again when we return for a holiday with the family.Highly recommend

BrisbaneGreat apartment with beautiful views!
Left on 04/10/2011 for a stay in June 2009
This apartment was very large and fully self contained so made for a great base where we could make our own breakfast, lunch and dinner if required. Considering its size (2 split-level floors) and complimentary golf buggy, it represented great value for money. Being an "end" apartment (they are in blocks of 4), this apartment had side windows and a larger ensuite than the "middle ones" next door.
We had perfect weather in June and being on the Western side of the Island we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with a drink watching the sun set over the water - we preferred this view over the Catseye bay views on the other side of the Island where we have stayed previously. The only disadvantage we found was walking home from the restaurants if we had both been drinking (driving golf buggies under the influence is not allowed) is bit of an effort up the steep hill. -

Sydney, AustraliaIt's a Shore-thing!
Left on 04/07/2011 for a stay in May 2010
We booked this property through Hamilton Island Private apartments, who were highly efficient in answering my queries and were very helpful with information. My descision to book this particular apartment was based on some attractive photos and good reviews I found on the net somewhere (can't remember which website now). I can't remember all the details, but I do remember us being very pleased and impressed by the furnishings and the view from this apartment. Since we were travelling with our 7-month-old, we requested for a baby cot and high chair. Both items were supplied. Like most private properties on the island, this one came with it's own golf buggy to transport you around the island. My only gripe was that the floors and surfaces were not very clean. A mop, bucket and vacuum cleaner were provided, so I spent everyday vacuuming and mopping the floor. I did it only because we like to go bare-footed indoors and my baby was starting to crawl around the place. But if dusty floors aren't an issue to you, then this apartment is perfect. The pool belonging to Shorelines was quite sad, but as a Shoreline resident, we were allowed access to the beautiful infinity pool belonging to it's sister property called The Edge. Now this pool gets maximal sunlight in the afternoon so don't forget to slip slop slap and wear your sunnies! Problem is, the infinity pool was located close to the sea, at the bottom of the hill, and apartment no. 9 was one of the ones at the top of the hill, close to the entrance. So while it was a nice longish walk down the steps to get to the pool, walking back up to the apartment was painful especially with the baby strapped on. There was no way to drive the buggy down there as there was a big unfriendly sign in front of The Edge entrance saying only Edge residents were allowed to drive in (or something along those lines).
