SydneyExcellent Family Holiday
Left on 05/30/2012 for a stay in April 2012
We really enjoyed Shoreline 30 and Hamilton Island. We travelled to Hamilton Island with our son (age 4) for a week. Ashley from Hamilton Island Private apartments met our flight and took us to Shoreline 30. Shoreline 30 is a good size townhouse and has all the amenities. We had read reviews critising the cleanliness of Shoreline 30, but when we stayed in april/May 2012 it was clean. We requested additional towels which were quickly delivered to us. We also requested a late check out, which was provided. We really enjoyed Shoreline 30 and Hamilton Island. We would definitely recommend Shoreline 30 to others. My only caution is that the golf buggy for Shoreline 30 does not have any seat belts. We noticed that the golf buggies for other townhouses do have seat belts. This may be a problem if you have small children who can't hold on when driving up steep hills.

This 2 level apartment exceeded our expectations and had everything necessary for a comfortable holiday for 4 adults+. Magical views, clean air-conditioned property and close to main shopping area and marina thanks to the golf buggy which was provided as part of the deal! Very roomy bedrooms with king size beds and a lovely deck with BBQ and superb views! Swimming pool close to our unit and very private. The only thing that was missing was a big ceiling fan on the deck to make sitting out there even more enjoyable.

The spot is amazing and whilst there is nothing particularly "wrong" with the apartment it certainly wasn't as well maintained or managed as other shorelines apartments. We had a large group so booked two apartments at shorelines. I stayed in 30 and we were amazed at the difference between the almost identically priced and laid out apartments. Shorelines 30 was very poorly stocked. Hardly any cookware, utensils etc. Almost everything we needed we had to take from the apartment next door which was incredibly well stocked - everything you would have needed. Despite having booked for 6 (and paying extra for the privilege) we were advised that they only had linen and towels for 4 guests max. Once I complained quite a bit this was rectified. The dishwasher was left unpacked on our arrival and there was not even any soap in the toilets to wash hands etc. Generally the apartment is in need of some rejuvination. I would recommend anyone to stay at Shorelines but I would recommend they stay in 29 rather than 30.

Harrisburg, PALike Staying at Home on a Resort Island
Left on 12/17/2011 for a stay in December 2011
My wife and I recently stayed here as part of our honeymoon trip around eastern australia. I picked this as a change of pace from the hotels we were staying in elsewhere. We enjoyed waking up and eating breakfast out on our private porch, and coming home to relax in the evenings. Though we had neighbors, the apartment felt like our own space.
Some of the highlights of the property were the fully stocked kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and of course the ocean view from two separate porches. Since the unit faces slightly northwest, I imagine the views are better in the fall to spring months, but it was still very lovely watching the boats go in and out of the marina.
The main disappointment I had with the unit was the cleanliness. My wife made sure to wash all the dishes we used. We would have cooked out on the bbq, but I didn't feel like washing that, too. The grout lines in one of the showers were a little dark, and looked like they could use a good scrub. Finally, there was a considerable amount of dust around the apartment, especially in corners. The curtains could really use a cleaning.
Overall, our experience was very good. The complimentary buggy was a big help, and there were many more things about the apartment that we enjoyed than that we found to be inconveniences. Had the unit been more pristine, I would consider it to be a luxury apartment, but given the condition, it was cozy and comfortable, more like staying at home but 9,000 miles away. -

BrisbaneAmazing views, great apartment
Left on 12/13/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The apartment is located in a fantastic position, with amazing views.
We ordered food online from Coles and it was sitting on the bench waiting for us on arrival, very convenient. We were only given one set of keys which was inconvenient considering there was 2 separate couples in our group. We asked for a second set but we were told this was not possible.
The unit is advertised by Hamilton Island Private apartments as having ipod connectivity which is not true. We had to purchase a cable from the video store on the island and plug in to the TV. I offered to leave the cable in the unit for future guests as long as they reimbursed me but they would not do this, so make sure you bring your own ipod speakers with you.
The unit is advertised as having sparkling wine on arrival but this was not there when we arrived. It turned up later that day after a phone call to Hamilton Island Private apartments which was great.
The beds were comfortable with good sheets. Great bathrooms, good towels. The unit was not overly clean, quite a lot of dust. The buggy was really great but its also only a short walk down to the marina.
There are two pools but we only used the horizon edge pool which is actually in the Edge complex but you are allowed access to it. It is an amazing pool.
Great stay, highly recommended! -

Left on 10/18/2011 for a stay in September 2011
What can we say, views views and more views. Superbly comfortable beds for adults and kids. Fourth stay at the island in 10 years. Best accommodation to date. Travelled with 3 kids, 5/7/9 Child gate at top of stairs was great. Unit was clean and comfortable. A couple of things to improve unit, would be tupperware to store groceries from coles on line, also ceiling fan on deck would be great as half the time no breeze and with sun set on that side of the island it gets a bit stiffling with no air movement. Buggy as per previous reviews. Brakes have to be applied heavily, and no seat belts. Only a few minor things to really improve on an already great accommodation spot.

Shorelines 30 was an great experience. My husband and I have stayed at the Beach Club on previous visits to Hamilton Island and found it very difficult to find anything that came close on the resort side of the island when staying with kids. Our solution was to stay in a private apartment and we really had a great time. We will be back!

From the moment we reached the Island and were greeted by the lovely staff member I knew it was going to be a great experience. The convenience of having a personal buggy was really good, the kids love going for rides especially to the duck ponds to feed the ducks and of course the selection of beautiful pools to relax by. The room at Shoreline was exceptional it had some of the handy condiments you need such asolive oil for cooking, washing up detergent and salt and pepper which was fabulous. The room had so much space for us all to have a place to relax whether that was in the spa, lying on the bed reading a book or sharing a drink on the deck smelling food cook on the BBQ overlooking the beautiful Ocean and Islands. We have stayed in Shoreline apartments in September also and watched whales frolick in the ocean from the decks at Shoreline it was amazing and on the boat ride back to Shute Harbour a whale swam beside our Ferry and the children said it was like the whale was waving goodbye to us. Even though we live1.5 hrs from the Whitsundays and can go anywhere for a great get away the children always want to go to Hamilton Island and us also it is a place where you can go and totally relax, unwind and indulge your senses. Our family would recommend this slice of heaven to anyone from the clean, beautiful and large apartment with great views to the beautiful ocean, pools, staff,restaurants/food and entertainment this holiday destination is the best we have ever experienced.

the apartment was very well equipt, but on arrival the apartment was not cleaned that well! Dvd was broken. Private buggy was dangerous to drive: brakes did not work very well and the battery was just about 'dead' even after charging!! Not Good at all - especially with children on board!! Otherwise everything else was spot on.

Left on 04/01/2011 for a stay in February 2011
The apartment met all our expectations and then some. It was very spacious and well maintained.
The "golf cart" that we were to travel in was in need of some major work. Because the roads are very hilly, you need good tires and excellent brakes to feel safe. The brakes on this buggy were iffy as were the tires. It rained one day and the drive was treacherous.
The unit could have had more information about local attractions - especially restaurants.
Because it was the off-season, the bus did not run according to the schedule in the brochure.
We would advise bringing groceries from the mainland as the store on the island has a very limited selection and prices are very high.
Check advertised rates for the unit carefully - they seem to change on a daily basis and the managers would not honour the lower price (even though it was only a day later).
There is an infinity pool as well as a regular pool - we were not told about the infinity pool (it is much nicer). -

Left on 04/01/2011 for a stay in April 2009
we waited a place to stay that was lovely. i was nearly pregnant with a 18month old son and we were willling to pay the extra to stay somewhere that was luxurious and relaxing. We were disappointed that the accommodation was so dirty, ants everywhere, very noisy neighbours and that there was only one tv in the bedrooms when we specifically asked if there was two as my 69 year old mother was travelling with us. The real disappointment was when half way through our holiday the buggy, which was part of the package, engine died and we were told we would be reinbursed at least half if not all of the hire for another one, and we are still waiting for this two years later! I would not recomment this accommodation to anyone due to our disaapointement on what was promised and not delivered.
