Our waterfront property faces the north shore ocean, providing guests with spectacular water views and swimming access in the clear ocean waters. There are two units at this property: E05 and E05A, which are priced separately. E05 (the studio) suits two guests and 1 child, while E05A (one bedroom apartment) can accommodate up to 4 guests.
Completely tiled and tastefully decorated, each unit has all of the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning/heating, ceiling fans, wireless internet, TV with cable, phone including free local calls, iron, ironing board, blow dryer, bath linens, and BBQ.
E05 is t...he Studio Apartment, which has a Queen size bed, night stand, wardrobe, and a table and chairs for dining. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, sink, fridge, electric stove/oven, cutlery, dishes, and pans. The spacious bathroom has ample storage and a bathtub with shower. Washer and dryer can be made available for guests who stay 8 nights or longer.
E05A is the recently redecorated One Bedroom Apartment, which can comfortably sleep up to 4 guests. The bedroom has a King size bed, and there are two full-size futons in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, pots and pans, cooking utensils, salt and pepper, and a basic supply of paper towel and dish washing soap. The apartment also has a bathroom with shower/tub, spacious living room, and dining table for 6.
Each apartment has its own seating area on the outdoor grassy patio, which is shared by guests of both apartments, and which enjoys stunning views of the ocean. Right from the property, one can swim in the turquoise waters of the ocean, or snorkel - the clear and calm waters are ideal for snorkeling! It is important to note that access to the water is rocky and fairly steep: water shoes are a good idea to swim from this location.
Furthermore, the property includes private access to the railway trail for walking or jogging. No smoking on the premises, and no pets, please.
Well located near restaurants, gas station, supermarket, and beaches, the property is also situated along a major bus route. Only 20 minutes to Hamilton and 10 minutes from the Airport!
Flatts Village is ten minutes away by bus (and is delightful village) with nice places to eat (the Palmetto Bay Hotel is particularly pleasant), gift and other shops, and the Aquarium and Zoo which are well worth a visit. Sports activities include tennis courts (which can be booked at reasonable rates) at Grotto Bay, which is five minutes away by bus.
Golfers will enjoy the St. Georges Club and there are numerous public courses. Hiking is enjoyable at Ferry Reach and St. Davids Head, two of the larger and more interesting parks. There is also Spittal Pond Bird Sanctuary and endless coastline areas to walk. Swimming and snorkelling are good on most beaches. However, Shelly Bay Beach five minutes from “The Bed and Breakfast”, is very safe, never has an undertow (as do many of the more turbulent South Shore beaches) and the caves around the headland offer excellent snorkelling. Tobacco Bay in St. Georges is a great beach year round – sheltered and with marvellous numbers of fish. Diving, sailing and windsurfing are all available at Grotto Bay which is nearby.
Unfortunately this rental didn't work out for us, however Fiona's company, Bermuda Rentals, had arguably the best selection of vacation rentals for Bermuda. We were first time travelers to the island and needed recommendations on everything from what's the best part of the island to stay to arranging transportation to how to acquire groceries. We were not led astray. From prices to expectations, she managed it all for us. It was so very easy once we arrived on the island and had our pre-arranged transportation waiting and the rental she suggested was a mere 5 minute walk to some of the best beaches in Warwick Parish; clean, well-kept and most of all, convenient to food and transportation. It was exactly what we wanted for a short weekend away.
