Hale Kukuna was a project born from the love of this wonderful Hawaiian town by its owners and was built 100% by local Hana residents with impeccable detail. Hale Kukuna is located on Hana Bay not only overlooking the ocean but also one of the last Royal fishponds in the area.
Both homes feature fully stocked kitchens (pots, pans, utensils, and spices), cable TV in bedrooms and living area, gas Weber barbecues, and the same unsurpassed view.
Whichever home you choose for your stay in Hana, you will be able to appreciate the surrounding beauty that only exists in this tropical paradise.

Our first impression was Hale Kukuna 1 was a bit sterile, no warm and fuzzy welcome, functional but almost bare kitchen. But the place grows on you. For one thing the tile work on the floors and walls is first rate--especially the surprise marble sun that lights up in the shower. All the kitchen appliances and tools are high end. The Weber grill is top of the line. They stock a good collection of spices--missing only garlic powder. If you stay in Hana for a few days you will be thankful for the good kitchen because there is no place to go for dinner besides two very expensive restaurants. Another bit of luxury is the two flat screen TVs with a good selection of channels, although HBO is missing. The only real drawbacks: The king size bed was way too soft for us, and since Hale Kukuna 1 is on the ground floor you hear the people above in Hale Kukuna 2 walking around. Book Hale Kukuna 2 if you can. There is a washer dryer on the property but you have to ask to get access. The location is very convenient for any Hana area activities.
