Morro Bay, CaliforniaWonderful Holiday
Left on 08/21/2012 for a stay in August 2012
We just returned home this morning from a lovely stay here. The house was just as expected. The home was clean, peaceful and well stocked. The directions were perfect and it was easy to find. The house is literally steps from the beach and a 5 minute bike ride to town (2 bikes are provided). The deck has a wonderful sitting area were we spent most of our time in the early mornings and evenings. There is so much to do within walking distance. Kayaking, surfing, stand up paddling, shopping, floating aimlessly in the bay, or just reading on the deck. We also really enjoyed the Princeville Zip and Dip Tour. I think we walked to almost every restaurant in town and enjoyed them all. (The Hanalei Pizza was amazing.)
We did notice a bit of noise on Friday and Saturday nights, (due to beach proximity), however by 10 PM it was pretty peaceful and not as issue.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. -

We stayed at the Nami Nori house for Thanksgiving this year and we don't think we could have made a better choice! For starters, dealing with the owner, Nikki, was a treat. She was quick to answer questions, work with us when we had to change dates, and share info about the area. Nikki is also on call while you are at the house. We had to make a night call the evening we came in because we could not locate the keys. This was at 10:30/11pm! Excellent dealing with her!
Now the house--it was unbelievably clean! Cleaner than my home ever is!! :) The bed were super comfortable, there were enough towels for 4 adults and 3 teenagers-for showers and the beach, plenty of supplies to take to the beach (which is right across the street), the bathrooms were immaculate with fresh towels and extra toilet paper. I know sounds stupid. But we have rented so many homes where everything from salt and pepper to toilet paper and dish washing liquid had to be purchased for a week. It's so frustrating to buy all the supplies to live, use them for a week and then leave it all behind. So as far as we were concerned the extra TP, the dish soap, dishwasher stuff, and even laundry detergent made our life easier.
There is no air conditioning in the main house with kitchen and living room. No one was excited about that part...but with the windows open the breezed that came through had even my teenage boys sitting around in sweatshirts at night.
In all honesty there is not one thing I can think of that is negative about this place...except that I had to leave.
Give Nikki a call you will not be disappointed, and you'll be counting the days until you get to stay there again. -

The Nami Nori house was everything we had hoped for and lots more. The location was ideal as the kids could walk to the beach and we could bike into town. Comfortable home with all the amenities and features for a perfect week in paradise. We will return!

Grass Valley, CaliforniaBEAUTIFUL Home, PERFECT Location!!
Left on 03/02/2010 for a stay in February 2010
When I found the NamiNori house online, I thought it would be a beautiful
place to stay on our trip to North Shore Kauai, but when we actually arrived
there and checked into the house, we knew that not only was this place
more beautiful than we could have possibly imagined, but it was in the
PERFECT location at the end of a quiet street, and a 2 minute stroll to
breathtaking Hanalei Bay and Hanalei Pier. The home itself was so sweet
and charming, clearly built with the finest craftsmanship, and yet with a
relaxed feel so feel right at home. Everything you could need was provided,
top quality linens, beach gear, even surf boards! The decor was beautiful,
which is always something that's important to me, and Nikki the owner was
SO incredibly helpful and quick to respond if we ever needed a thing! You're
but a short walk, bike ride, or a really short drive from great restaurants and
markets in the town of Hanalei, but if you choose to stay in- the kitchen
was fully equipped and a patio BBQ made it easy to grill the freshest most
delicious fish in the world! One of my favorite things about the house was
all the big windows throughout that not only made it SO light and bright,
but that you could open up and feel those INCREDIBLE (and much beloved)
tradewinds softly blowing through. Such a delight! The landscaping in the
yard was gorgeous as well, and you felt you had your own little oasis after a
long day at the beach. We had the MOST incredible time on our stay here
and we simply CANNOT WAIT to come back!! I would recommend this
house to anyone - groups of adults, families with children, it could easily
appeal to anyone! If I had more than 2 thumbs, I'd have them up! -

1. Service excellent
2. Home was perfect-6 people stayed with 1 couple staying in the master suite
appropriately separated from the chaos of the 4 of us (2 parents and 2 kids)
Lanai was perfect. Clean and extremely comfortable
3. Location is ideal-right across from the beach and shaved ice/taco cart
4. Liked location and comfortable rooms best
5. Liked the least-having to leave!

Brooklyn, NYFantastic spot!
Left on 02/18/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Nami Nori is a beautiful home and the convenience to stunning Hanalei Bay was fantastic! We loved being able to get to the beach with no hassle, come home for lunch, and head out again in the afternoon. At the same time, it was so easy to pop into town to get food for dinner, or anything else we needed. With two little kids, this convenience was really important to us. Each bedroom was lovely, and the yard was wonderfully landscaped (we loved eating the oranges from a tree out back.) Also, Nikki is a sweetheart, and helped out with every little question, from favorite restaurants to finding a pediatrician. Wish we were still there!

My husband and I stayed at this property for a week. Our experience from the
beginning planning stages throughout our entire stay was first class
excellence. The property manager Ms. Horgan was incredibly helpful and made
sure that all of our requests were fulfilled and made our stay incredibly
comfortable. The house is located in the most prime location on Kauai and I
can't say enough positive things about it. I loved the detached master
bedroom and bath, just far enough away from the main house but close
enough to not be inconvenienced. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking
and the house felt brand new. All the linens were fresh and in excellent
condition as well as the bicycles that were available for our use.
We can't wait to go back, the only change that I would make is to stay for 2
weeks instead of just one.
Enjoy! -

CaliforniaBEST DEAL ON KAUAI!!
Left on 02/08/2010 for a stay in January 2010
Given the low rates for this beach house, I had NO IDEA how beautiful and
close to the beach it would be (LITERALLY STEPS). We wanted to be on Hanalei
Bay but the prices were insanely expensive. I stumbled upon this place on the
web and now consider it my new home away from home on Kauai (we're
planning a return trip later this year). Four of us flew to Kauai for some much-
needed R&R and figured the beach house would be nice but it is BEAUTIFUL
and literally so close to the beach we could go back and fourth all day. The
owner takes great care to make the rental property much more homey than
you would expect. The best part was being able to see MULTIPLE waterfalls
from the house!!
