Harbor Island, a gated community, is located on the coast between Charleston and Savannah, 14 miles from historic Beaufort. The island has 2-1/2 miles of uninterrupted white sand beach.

We have fallen in love with that part of the world. Your condo had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed 2 sunrises, and a few very long walks on the beach in the evening. It is just glorious in that part of the world. Your condo was perfect in every way. We wanted for nothing!
We loved the area so much that we are thinking it may be the ideal spot to bring the lovely Madeleine Brady as her new home. We are hoping to head back in December of January for a longer stay and to get to know the area a bit more.

It was amazing. Gloria, your condo was very clean and comfortable. It was organized just right per my mother & the blankets were very cozy per my 6 year old. We will be making it back - we loved it. We ended up making low country boil on Thurs thanks to people in the pool suggestions on what to put in it and when. Thank you for having all the necessary items like the big pots, so we could experiment with the cooking. We ate at Factory Creek on Tues (good shrimp and grits if you like spicy food) and Boondocks on Wed. ($.35 shrimp what a deal), but really we could have just stayed at home to eat b/c we played so hard all day. We went to Hunting Island one day - bigger waves and even saw some surfers which was fun. Even my Mother and I ended up trying out boogie boards.
In hindsight, I would have packed alot less...just needed swim suits, beach towels, sunscreen, and a cooler to be perfectly happy. -

Our time on Harbor Island was absolutely perfect. The weather was great, the condo was great, the whole week couldn't have been better. We have already spoken with her parents and mine about how much they would love it out there, so you never know... You might be getting a call in the future from one or both of them!

We had a great time! The condo was perfect- we especially loved how close it is to the small pool. We were very impressed with Harbor Island and all the amenities as well as the beautiful beach. The first night we were there we saw phosphorus in the ocean, which looked like the ocean was sparkling. My mother in law recently visited Puerto Rico and said that it was just like the bio-luminescence that you can find in some of the bays there. Needless to say, she was impressed! We will definitely keep your place in mind for our next vacation- it was just perfect, and we were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was. Other beach rentals we've used have not had all the kitchen implements that yours did.

We had a great time! The St. Helena Sound was very unexpected. I wished I had better photographic skills to get some great pics of it. The beach and harbor changed so much day to day; it was nice to see the other side of the sound (we ususally stay on Edisto). We loved the wildlife; but were disappointed we didn't see an alligator :-) We went to Hunting Island State Park beach which is only 2 miles from the condo. That put us into the atlantic Ocean for some fun in the waves.We enjoyed driving around all the other barrier Islands in the evenings. I love this area of South Carolina! The condo was just right for us; it was very clean and well stocked. We spent a lot of time at the pool as well, which is probably 50 feet from the back steps of the condo. It was a quick trip, only 5 1/2 hours from altanta, yet very relaxing. Too bad I don't fish, because we saw so many people fishing and crabbing. I just like to eat the catch! Thank you for letting us stay in your condo; we really enjoyed our time there.

For three wonderful days we lived on the edge of an island, cooled by ocean breezes, serenaded by a chorus of birds, and enchanted by a profusion of gorgeous flowers. A thousand brilliant stars shone down on us at night, undimmed by city lights. When our sightseeing adventures were over for the day, we relaxed in this well-equipped, extremely comfortable condo. What a pleasure!
