Bardstown, KYBreathtaking

I'm originally from Beaufort but haven't lived there since I was 12. This was my 2nd trip back to the area with my children and I have to say that it was absolutely wonderful. The house was gorgeous with a beautiful backyard of sand and ocean. There were a couple of maintenance issues; however, these were taken care of the day that I spoke to someone at Seaside Getaways. Everyone was helpful, ensuring that the home was to our expectations; and, Kevin, the maintenance man was friendly, efficient, and a great resource of information. I definitely plan to rent this home again in the future and I will recommend Seaside Getaways to my friends and family.

Another great vacation at Key West attitude. This was our 6th year
in a row at 68 N. Harbor Drive and we enjoyed every minute we were there. We had some rainy days and some cool days but we also had some beautiful days to enjoy the beach. The Seaside Getaways staff was
very nice and helpful as always.

Cincinnati, OhioFabulous location!
Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in July 2012
The location was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms were nice and roomy, so was the kitchen and living quarters. The bathtub in the master bath was wonderful, but the shower was too small. The outside shower was great. The only complaint is that it could use some new paint and maybe carpeting to spruce things up. Incredible views!

Fantastic location, like a dream come true to be able to walk out your door , down a short boradwalk and you're on the beach. Love it!! Might be why we keep coming back to Harbor for the last 20+ years!? House is nice, still could use some updating and some furniture pieces seem to be in the way (tables & bookshelves) Could use more kitchen towels and dishcloths

It has been a while since we were at key west attitude. We had marvelous stay. Lots of new things. The grill area especially nice...great green space for kids while we were grilling. Lovely comfy lounge chairs. Beds especially comfy. Love the new bunk bed set up..very smart.
Only concern is a/c noise. Concerned it is symptom of expensive problem. I know you want to know.
Red birds are old friends.
All in all it will be out destinatin and strongly recommend it to family and friends. Greta, you and Ron have it really looking good.
Maybe table and chair in the "widows walk" would be nice again.
Thanks for everything.
Best regards

we had a wonderful time on the island. savannah and charleston are very close.we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle. only problem was the master suite screen door had holes and let in mosquitoes. maintainence took the screen and never brought it back even after being asked to? the house was very clean and perfectly located on the island.

We have stayed in several places on Harbor Island for over 15 years, this home has spoiled us to know that we don't want to rent other places without trying to achieve this one first. Other than minor repairs this has been an excellent place and we are looking forward to next year and have already booked this same home. It is the closest we have ever been to the beach and we absolutely loved every moment of it.

Ontario, Canadagreat family beachfront vacation home
Left on 05/28/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Home was perfect 6 adults, 21m & 8m children. Each "family" had a bedroom/bathroom in their own corner section of the house. Lots of room. Washer/dryer, very handy. Kids loved baths in jacuzzi tub.
Location superb! Right on beach, few steps over the walkway to the ocean. Beautiful sand that at low tide goes on forever. Many great holes, canals and castles created. Loved watching the waves crashing at high tide from the walkway, screened porch and the top deck. Highest tides in a year!!! Suggestion - bring beach chairs for everyone, we didn't! Three loungers in sunny area in the backyard but are difficult to get to the beach. We brought beach umbrellas, one at the house but too windy.
Kitchen was well equipped - only missing a grater. Ice-maker - great to keep seafood cold in the cooler. Directions for the garbage disposal posted above sink would be helpful for those unfamiliar. Cooked all meals but one, went to the Foolish Frog for dinner. Loved the fresh local shrimp, oysters and/or fish almost every night. Picked strawberries and enjoyed several shortcakes. Hint- store your charcoal so the humidity won't get it too wet! Left a partially closed bag under the deck overnight, it was unusable.
Ten minute walk to the pool. Saw adult/baby alligators, turtles, egrets/babies in marshes along the way. Usually had icecream bars at the store before walking back!
Shrimp season just opened, lots of boats with the dolphins chasing - great fun to watch. One evening high tide the dolphins were swimming only a few feet away.
Some activities: Hunting State Park for a picnic, swim and tour the lighthouse; golfing at Parris Island then lunch at Sgt. Whites; shopping at Hilton Head Island outlets; boat cruise (Captain Dick) in Beaufort.
Great vacation that ended too soon. Hope we can do it again next year for longer and bring all of our family. -

My wife and I always enjoy our stay at Key West attitude.
This year (March 2012) was our 5th year at this location
and we enjoy it more each year. The house is arranged well
with a great view of the water. The Seaside Getaways staff
couldn't be nicer and always helps to make our stay more
enjoyable.
If you like sea food you will get your fill at the local
restaurants. We are looking forward to our return in 2013.

Key West attitude was the perfect spot for our family stay in SC. The layout of the house was perfect-great for gathering or being alone. The house was well equipped and had all the amenities we needed, having traveled so far. The beach was wonderful and the house location, mid beach, was perfect. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Thank you, Seaside Staff!!

We love staying in this oceanfront home and will probably never stay anywhere else. We are spoiled by the beautiful view and the quiet, private location. We really enjoyed the extra outdoor furniture this year. We have looked around and can't find any other beach house we want to stay in; we can't wait until our next trip.

Auburn, ALComfortable home with wonderful beach proximity.
Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in August 2011
The location is about as good as it gets for beach proximity, and the rooftop deck a real favorite. We do miss the island General Store, so make sure to bring everything you need...and bug spray! The usual insect repellants just won't do it, here. WiFi was iffy and access disappeared a bit, but owners were very responsive.

Harleysville, PennsylvaniaHarbor Island is a wonderful family vacation spot!
Left on 06/10/2011 for a stay in July 2010
We met with our extended family from TX at this location last year. It was such a wonderful area. We enjoyed the peacefulness of Harbor, the waves for our teens at Hunting Island (very close by) and took a day trip to Savannah Georgia (about 1 1/2 hrs). We loved the location of this house, although it needed some updating and a few minor repairs that would have made it more comfortable. Seaside Getaways helped us with our arrangements - and they made check in and check out very easy. We enjoyed our time there so much we are returning this year. We will stay at a different home - as the last was a bit small for our family.

"Key West attitude" was everything I expected and more. Beautiful home, comfortable furniture...the beds had great mattresses on them. Let's just say I slept really good and awoke in am to the sun rising outside my bedroom. Loved it! I enjoyed all the outdoor spaces, screen porch (w nice furniture), decks, sitting area underneath house. Pretty yard! It was fun dining at the breakfast nook with all the windows facing ocean. Relaxing in the evenings to drive the golf cart down to lower end of island and watch the sun go down.

Lexington, KYThe great escape!
Left on 05/11/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This home was directly on the beach. It was so nice not having to pack things in the car or carry all our things to go hangout at the beach all day. Rooms were all nice size. Kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans etc, so it made it easy for us to stay in and cook.
Incredibly comfortable beds! Home could use some fresh paint and updating, but what house couldn't? We had an very lovely experience. A couple of times we had to call and have some minor issues, but Greta and the property manager responded immediately. Both were two of the nicest people we have ever rented property from for a vacation home. They both gave new meaning to Southern Hospitality!
This home is a great place if you are wanting to get away from it all. The views are spectacular! -
