It is a short, two minute walk to the wide sandy beach where you can sunbathe while watching the dolphins playing and the colorful shrimp boats sailing by. Or, you can stroll along the beach and find any of the numerous shells that wash up on shore. This townhouse is gorgeously decorated with a comtemorary flair. We were so close to the boardwalks to the beach and to the pools it was easy to take advantage of each. We were across from the playground and excercise room and definitely took advantage of both of these. The weather was fabulous. Other than having to rush out because of a scheduling glitch with 6 persons sharing the rental we enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to have that extra day but it was raining and a little cold so we didn't mind as much. We definitely are looking forward to next year's stay.

Seaside Getaways was wonderfully responsive to our every need. The sea islands are a half hour drive from groceries, fuel, basically anything, so you need to plan ahead; but there isn't a more beautiful spot for a vacation. Hunting Island is right "next door" if you want to walk on a beach that is more exposed to the waves of the ocean.
The original construction on the building wasn't high quality, but the condo association does an excellent job of maintaining things and keeping the grounds looking nice. The condo also was clean and well maintained. For the price, it can't be beat.

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The accomodations were clean and the view was beautiful! We have stayed several consecutive years in the area, but this was the first time with Seaside Getaways and Harbor Island. We are currently planning our visit for next year! Greta and the entire office staff have been so accomodating, answering all of our questions, and we love that we were five minutes from Hunting Island State Park (a must see!).

We thought from the photos of your room, we'd be ocean front. Turns out, we were inlet front. My kids couldn't boggy board or surf on that water. We had to spend money going to Hunting island everyday, so that they could swim and surf. So, that was kind of deceiving.
Our room was kind of disappointing too. The bed was slopped, and my husband felt like he was going to roll on the floor every night. Finally, we got smart and my 9 year old slept with me, and he slept in one of the twin beds.
But, we love the island, and are considering returning next summer, not sure yet.
Also, we were disappointed with the kitchen utensils. Hardley anything to cook seafood with. Nothing to open up crab legs with, and not a good boiler to cook shrimp. -
