Description from the manager
This is a cozy little condo. It has all the feelings of being at home. We have put a splash of color on the walls to make it feel warm and know you are at the beach. You can sit on the deck and enjoy your breakfast and look out towards the ocean. Day or night you can feel the ocean breeze. The beach is just a little walk across the dunes on a boardwalk, and you can see wildlife in this natural environment. Please come take a well deserved relaxing break at your home away from home.

It is nice to go to a brand new area and have the accomodations and surroundings deliver as advertised! Accomodations are not luxury but are very comfortable,very well equiped and modern for our extended stay during March and april...and what can you say about that magnificant beach!? About the only thing that out shone the beach was the warm hospitality of the local people of Beaufort and the surrounding areas... we simply had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and historic corner of South Carolina. We will be back!

We recently rented a condo on Harbor Island and had a wonderful vacation experience.
Greta (with Seaside Getaways) was very helpful and accomodated our needs professionally and quickly.(We booked at the last minute.) Our condo was very clean and well equipted. It was so nice to look out at the beautiful view of the ocean each morning. We will definately return to Harbor Island and rent through this company again. -

This is our 2nd time visiting Harbor Island - The 1st time we rented from Harbor Island Rentals and had no issues.
This time we rented a similar unit from Seaside Getaway. For the amount of money we paid for the week for this rental, I would have expected the unit to be more updated. The unit was not cleaned properly when we arrived - trash in the kitchen sink, sand in the tubs, and a stain on our bedding (looked like a baby changing accident). Just had a very unclean feel about it. The biggest issue I had was more with the rental company - Any guest coming out to visit you is required to pay a $10 fee per day. I have family in Beaufort, so this was unreasonable to me. No one informed be of that before I paid for the unit.
Overall, my family and I managed to have an enjoyable visit - the beach was great and Beaufort is wonderful, but I will not be using Seaside Getaways in the future! -

This unit is exactly what you want for a relaxing trip beach that won't break the budget. You can walk staight down the boardwalk to the beach. The unit has a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck and the master bedroom window -- and it is not a sideways "view" like some of the other villas; it's a direct view. The interior is beachy and pretty. Not the fanciest accomodations but it is really nice and perfectly suited to a beach vacation. The island itself is also wonderful - about a minute down the road (technically Hunting Island) there is a huge nature preserve with gorgeous wildlife (the Vietnam scenes in Forrest Gump were filmed there to give you a picture). There's also an historic lighthouse and a big fishing dock. We really loved our stay at this villa and would recommend it to anyone.
