Welcome to Abbys Place, a rustic two bedroom plus guest cottage getaway with Lake Michigan access. Lake Michigan views can be seen out the large living room windows and from the side deck. The main home has two 3/4 bathrooms and two bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and one with a double sized bed, as well as a sleeping futon in the living room. The guest house located behind the main home is a great retreat for visiting guests with a queen sized bed and private 3/4 bathroom. Please note there is no bathtub. My wife and I just finished a week-long stay for our anniversary. We absolutely loved this cozy cabin with absolutely stunning views of Lake Michigan and set right along Michigan's "tunnel of trees." It really was the perfect spot - quiet and relatively secluded, but still close enough to plenty of day trips. This is certainly on our list of "must return someday" places.

We stayed a week with college-age son. Main house was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The setting was very peaceful & beautiful - we like to be "away" from things a bit. About 15-17 min. drive in to Harbor Springs via beautiful "Tunnel of Trees." Cabin was homey, loved the little deck, fire pit area and especially the sun deck across the road which had "$1 million" sunset views + Lake Michigan. We arrived after hours, but our check-in packet and keys were readily found outside the office. Office staff always helpful & friendly via phone/email. Had attraction/sites info. in our packet. 1 thing to improve: update kitchen counters/cupboards/lighting -- a little rough & dark. But still had coffeemaker/dishwasher :) Even though info said no TV, we were able to get 1-2 NBC stations -- great since the Olympics had just started! Plenty of lawn space in front and back if you were there with kids, just watch the road in front with little ones. Lots of stairs/path to beach, but once you get there, awesome!

Not being familiar with the "tunnel of trees" we were surprised that the home was so far away from Harbor Springs. It was, however, convenient to the golf courses that we played, with a half-an-hour drive to most of them. The home was different from what we expected from the pictures but was clean and well appointed with dishes, etc. The large yard was very nice as was the fire pit; the deck and grill area were also very nice. We especially enjoyed going across the road to the "outdoor living room" with table and chairs and a lovely view. We did spend quite a bit of our time there. We managed the little hike to the beach a couple of times and enjoyed being down there. The little guest house is a cute addition although we did find it a bit tight in terms of bed and shower. Overall we enjoyed our stay there, even in very hot weather!

Abby's place was so comfy cozy North woodsy everything we wanted it to be. The location is terrific, sunsets on the beach were beautiful. Loved sitting around on the patio in the morning having coffee, we would take our lunch to the deck that overlooks the lake, and then would grill out dinner and walk to the beach to see the sunset. It was peaceful, mellow, calm and wonderful. Nice lodging, great stay.
