The perfect island getaway and the best beach ever!
This house was wonderful! Perfectly located on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! Steps away from the Pink Sands and Coral Sands hotels, Sip Sip for lunch and others (by way of the beach,) 5 minutes to town with shops and the harbor, and Bob's Market just down the street, this is the ideal beach house location. While some areas of the house are a bit dated, it is overall very nicely furnished and comfortable, and the mattresses are nice and firm. The deck is fabulous and we barbecued and ate out on the deck often. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens. Could use a couple more beach chairs and a second small (or one larger) umbrella. The negatives: dishwasher is not connected to the cabinet and probably should be replaced soon (badly stained inside and does not clean that well.) The water pressure is weak in the 2nd bath, the rental crib was unusable as it did not have an actual mattress, so the baby slept with her parents (not a single good night's sleep for any of them,) and the highchair tray did not move and could not be removed, so meant for painful scraped legs when taking baby in and out. In terms of our arrival, the cart was not at the house when we got there and no one met us at the house, so did not know about the alarm system and other particulars about the house. We thought the charges for water, rental equipment, cart, etc. would be in our final bill from the real estate office, but we were in fact presented with separate bills from each. The water guy wanted to be paid on the spot when he delivered the bottles. It would be nice if the re office could handle this to make it easy for the guests.
Our housekeeper was terrific. She cleaned beautifully, was extremely helpful with details about the house (she told us about the alarm system,) did our personal laundry and called to order water as needed. She was lovely and very professional.
