Ideal for families, couples, walkers, golfers & pet owners, it is our own holiday home as well as a letting property & we have tried to make it a comfortable home from home, open all year round. We are sorry, but due to previous bad experiences we do not take bookings from young single sex groups who do not wish to maintain... the quiet environment and respect the property and neighbours. This is definitely not a suitable venue for hen or stag parties. Please visit our web site for more info. If you don't get a quick reply to an email or home phone enquiry please contact us on our mobile, 07854659676. When away from home the phone will be switched on 24/7 but we may be in a no-signal area, so please leave a message & we will get back to you ASAP.
Comprises of three comfortable bedrooms - 1 king, 1 double & 1 single, a spacious lounge/dining area & a well equipped kitchen; ideal for the self catering visitor. In the warmer months enjoy sitting out in the gardens & admire the spectacular views of the castle & the hills above Harlech. Glan Gors Apartment is within walking distance of a selection of shops, cafes, restaurants & pubs as well as 2 convenience stores. Along the coast, accesible by car, bus or train are supermarkets at Barmouth & Porthmadog. Just a short stroll away is Harlech beach, ideal for families with children. Along the coast there are several other large, safe & sandy beaches. The popular Royal St Davids golf course is about a five minute walk away & is a must for keen golfers - if you have the club's required handicap - in superb scenery between dunes and the hills. The area is excellent for walkers, both for gentle strolling & for more serious mountain climbing, either in the heart of Snowdonia or on the Rhinogydd a few miles behind Harlech. There are 2 bird reserves not far away and the local estuaries are ideal for bird watching. For those wanting to tour and looking for a bit of history why not visit some of the beautiful castles in the area including the nearby Harlech Castle which is just a short walk away. Within 30 minutes to an hour's drive away are Criccieth, Conwy & Caernarfon castles. Cycles can be hired in Barmouth, about 8 miles away. Our apartment sleeps up to 5 people and provides easy access ideal for those who are less mobile. The lounge/dining area has plenty of comfortable seating, freeview television, DVD & video player. There is a small selection of videos, DVDs, books, cards, and various board games for you to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen includes electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. We provide bedding, towels and tea towels. If you prefer to bring your own bedding and towels we will take 10% off the rental price. Electricity is included in the cost of the rental. Communication with the owners was fantastic and they kept us informed about everything. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. The location was great for visiting Barmouth, Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Snowdon, Bedd Gelert etc. There were ample brochures and visitors information provided regarding eating out and places to see.
I would recommend this apartment to others.

All facilities on ground floor very neat and tidy in a good location for exploring and near to Harlech castle. Was like home from home nice views and although a cold wind outside soon got the apartment warm and cosy.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay & hope you'd like to visit us again sometime - a new cooker arrived today!
Very relaxing home from home

This is my second time here, I was on a short break with a friend. It's still a lovely quiet location, ideal for our holiday needs. There is plenty of room to spread out & relax and the flat is every bit as comfortable as my first visit - I noticed that Sue and alan have also now added a new suite and done some redecoration since I was last there. Thanks again and see you again soon! Read more
Pleased that you got good weather to see the area at its best.
Relaxing Week away
Left on 07/01/2011 for a stay in June 2011 | Alex Christopher
My first impressions of the accomodation were that it was in an ideal location, providing everything we would need for our stay, and indeed more.
Inside was cozy, with more than enough to entertain us in the evening by the way of television, Dvds, books and board games. The kitchen and shower facilities were excellent, and the bedrooms were comfortable and roomy with plenty of storage space.
Everything Harlech had to offer was within walking distance, and when we wanted to venture further the train station was a 5 minute walk away.
All in all, it was the perfect week away and I can't wait for my next visit. Read more

Good location beaches nearby were beautiful.
Harlech Castle worth a visit.
Local shop had everything we needed & prices were reasonable.
Neighbours all very friendly & gave advice on beaches etc. Apartment was comfortable &
spotless, well equipped & we would stay there again. The area apartment was located was very child-friendly, lots of room for them to play.
Sorry that you had a problem. We only vacated the property ourselves the day before your arrival, after a week's stay there, and had aired all rooms thoroughly before we left so don't understand why some rooms were damp but will look into it. If you feel that there was anything we could have done to resolve the problem, please let us know.
Great Location - clean and tidy flat!

We stayed here in January - it was very cold but an excellent location for a spring/summer break.
The owners were extremely helpful and informative. The flat was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Read more
Sorry that you were cold. The storage heaters were put on by a neighbour the day before your arrival, but it looks like that wasn't sufficient in a cold January, even with the portable heaters provided. We are open to any suggestions that would make the place warmer in very cold weather.

Glan Gors is an excellent, comfortable and quiet place to stay. It is near the centre of Harlech and within a few minutes walking distance of the glorious beaches. Facilities in the appartment are very good. It is a superb base for exploring the coast and the mountains of North Wales and enjoying the amenities of Harlech itself. I have no doubt that we will return.

The service received was excellent. The flat was comfortable and spacious in an ideal location, close to all amenities and the beach. The surrounding area provides a wealth of opportunities for steam train enthusiasts, walkers and people interested in history. The scenery is beautiful and at times spectacular. We felt really comfortable and relaxed throughout our stay - a definite home from home.

We spent a week at Glan Gors in august last year and have also booked a further week for august this year. We found Glan Gors a very good base for a holiday in that area. Harlech Beach is within walking distance as is Harlech itself. The apartment is also convenient for the railway station and a bus route.
The apartment itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

My friend and I stayed at 36 Glan Gors last July and had a lovely time. The flat is both comfortable, cosy and quiet, a real home from home. The location is great, near to the town centre and beach and great for walks. The next door neighbour is friendly and very helpful, she keeps a spare key for the property and apparently, had I made a late booking, I could have picked the key up from her. As it was, the key to the property was sent out to me in advance. The owners of the property, Mr and Mrs Harris are warm, friendly and extremely helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure that our holiday was unproblematic and relaxing, I would thoroughly recommend 36 Glan Gors to anyone wanting a relaxing or activity holiday.
