Mt. Pleasant, MIBeautiful cabin!
Left on 06/11/2013 for a stay in June 2013
Positives:
-The cabin is clean and beautiful!!!
-The cabin is well-stocked.
-Very spacious.
-The cabin is right on the water.
-The bunk beds had been broken into two separate beds, which worked better for us.
-Excellent fire pit outside.
-Great kitchen.
-Loons!
Negatives:
-The back door (on the lake side of the house) has a lock for which we were never given a key, so every time we returned from fishing, we had to walk all the way around the house to the front door. A simple fix would be to go to Home Depot and get two Smart Locks, and key them to the same key. We also would've greatly appreciated more than one key to the front door as well. We had four adults, two vehicles, and only one key between us.
-The master "bedroom" is actually a loft space that is open to the main living/dining/kitchen area of the cabin. Not a bid deal for us, but groups with multiple couples beware. The only separation available is a curtain, and it did not block sound.
-No internet access, and our cell phones couldn't even get 3G signals on at&T.; This was a fairly major complaint for us. The cabin really needs Wi-Fi internet.
-The main floor bathroom had no exhaust fan, and there was no screen in the window, so "keeping the air clear" in that bathroom was difficult.
-Nice HD flat screen TVs throughout... However the owner had not actually paid for HD satellite stations, so they all showed SD quality only. Not a huge deal, but it was strange to have nice TVs everywhere (including the loft bathroom!), but to only feed them SD signals.
-The neighbor that shares the property was blasting music our first day.
-Did not seem to be great fishing lakes. All the fish we saw or caught were very small, and we are experienced fisherman. Not the cabin owners' fault, but thought I'd mention it, in case other fishermen are considering this cabin. Unless you're after pan fish, you might consider different lakes for fishing.

Beautiful, roomy, modern, and clean. However, need some attention to the following: (1) hot, cold water lines in first level bathroom sink are reversed, hot comes out right faucet instead of left; (2) one bedroom first level has two double beds and the other bedroom has bunk beds, which was difficult to use for six senior adults; (3) could not get WiFi connectivity and no info was available; (4) no info available on TV channels; and (5) although bathroom in basement, area unusable due to being damp and too musty.

Sorry about the Beds but that is all stated in the details. There is no WiFi there. The TV is Directv and there is a Guide right on the TV. Sorry about # 5 The last guest in there flushed some women product down the toilet and there was water on the floor.

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. We will definitely keep it in mind in the future. The basement had a wet musty smell I'm pregnant and super sensitive to smells couldn't go down there. Overall a great family getaway we had 8 adults and 3 babies in pack n plays. We fished, built sand castles, had fires, cooked great meals in the amazing kitchen :)
Thanks very much for a wonderful getaway! Absolutely beautiful home!!! -

We stayed at the Zeneberg cottage over Labor Day weekend and had a great time. I would recommended it to friend and will be considering a return visit.
The cottage is excellent, and has anything you could ask for. Touches like a sleep number bed, and a television with direct tv over the tub really give it a luxury feel. The Zebeburg family was easy to deal with.
Next time we will also rent the boat. -

It is rare to go to an unknown place, renting an unknown house that is an awesome deal and have your expectations exceeded but that is what happened at this relaxing getaway. The House has everything you could want (including the Master Sleep Number bed) and is clean, spacious and just feels like home right away. We stayed a week, had family come and go and even with 7 people and a baby, we never felt cramped. The owners are great down to earth people as was everyone in the area. Also, the fire pit was a great much used place for everyone to gather. The only thing we would do different is next time rent the patoon boat!!! Also, the golf was great in the area and if it rains or just for evening fun, stop by Snowbird Lanes. The best wings ever, great fun and you can tell Stacey and John we say hi ;-)
If you are looking for a home away from home, it doesn't get any better. Thank You Richard and Linda for your gracious hospitality!

My family and I had a wonderful vacation enjoying Richard's & Linda's gorgeous cottage. It's situated on a wonderful lot with plenty of trees and your own small beach outside the back door. We enjoyed fishing, swimming along with a day of boating and nights by the fire pit enjoying family time and s'mores. The cottage is just beautiful with all amenities you require. The pictures do not do it justice. We will be returning next year for another great vacation. Thanks again Linda & Richard!

I recently rented this beautiful cottage and had the most amazing time! Upon arrival we met the owner and she could not have been more inviting and easy to work with. The cottage was immaculate.. very clean, spacious and simply beautiful. It was equipped with everything you could ever want/need. The location was perfect, easy to find yet secluded. The cottage is set along a channel that connects the lakes so it was perfect for fishing and swimming! I can not wait to come back here but hopefully for longer than a weekend... the trip went by too fast!!
