LOCATION. Long View is located on the south side of the hill that separates Hart Bay from Chocolate Hole, in the same general area where Le Lapin and Rara Avis are located. This is a private and quiet location on a dead end road where the only sounds you usually hear are the waves breaking on the beach at Hart Bay. The delightful views sweep 200 degrees from the east to the northwest, and include sunrises and sunsets. To the east you overlook Hart Bay in the foreground and St. Croix in the distance, to the south you view Dog Island, the St. James Islands and the southern reaches of St. Thomas, while to the west lie the Hans Lollick Islands, T...hatch Island and the north end of St. Thomas. It's an easy 10-minute drive into Cruz Bay on paved roads, and an even easier 5-minute drive to the restaurants, beach, spa and tennis courts at the Westin.
DESIGN. Long View is a spacious and very appealing 2 bedroom villa. You park in the 3 car parking area below the house and ascend stairs to the lower level where you find the pool and sundeck, the lower bedroom/bath, the laundry room and a wrap around covered deck. Exterior stairs from the pool deck lead up to the second level with the living/dining/kitchen areas, a half bath, the master bedroom/bath and the screened in porch. Another covered deck wraps around the east and south sides of the upper level. The entire house and its lovely sundeck and pool are surrounded by beautiful, abundant and especially well maintained tropical landscaping.

LIVING/DINING. The living room has vaulted ceilings, tiled floors and views to the east, south and west. There is wireless internet (DSL) that works well at the pool or on the decks or porch. A half bath is located off the great room.
There is a dining table for four in the great room, a table for six on the pool deck and bar chairs at the kitchen bar/counter.
The screened in porch is furnished with a futon sofa bed and has scenic views of Chocolate Hole in the foreground and St. Thomas in the distance.

KITCHEN. The tiled kitchen is both attractive and well-equipped and includes a four-burner gas stove and oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven and blender. There is plenty of cookware and dinnerware, and a telephone. A washer/dryer and a gas barbeque grill are located on the lower level.

BEDROOMS. The master bedroom (king bed) is on the upper level and has a cathedral ceiling and a private balcony that overlooks Hart Bay. The lower level bedroom opens to the pool deck and has a king bed, cable tv and also includes a full size futon couch for children. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and tiled baths.
