Fabulous country Chateau and Cottage near the Normandy coast set in 5 acres of grounds with fantastic heated outdoor swimming pool. The Chateau has 8 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, 2 well-equipped kitchens, 2 dining rooms, 2 large reception rooms and 2 smaller lounge areas plus two outdoor private dining terraces with barbeques. The Cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area and lounge plus private outdoor dining terrace and barbeque. You can rent the whole property or just one wing of the Chateau or the Cottage depending on your group size. It's a fabulous place for family reunions, birthdays, anniversaries or weekend getaways as we...ll as winter breaks and summer family holidays and vacations.

The Chateau and Cottage are idyllically set on the edge of a village in beautiful rolling countryside next to the lush Forest of Eu. The beach is just a 15 minute scenic drive away and the cities of Dieppe and Abbeville are just half an hour away, while Paris is an easy two hour drive. Grandcourt is a typical pretty French country village with a breathtaking church and just two shops – a grocers, and that all-important bakers where after a three minute walk you will be able to buy your freshly baked bread and croissants each morning for breakfast. The village also has its own very authentic bar. The locals are very friendly and it’s impossible to pass someone in the street without them saying a friendly β€œbonjour”. Less than 10 minutes drive through the forest brings you to the picturesque market town of Blangy-sur-Bresle with its lively Sunday morning market and eclectic collection of shops as well as a large supermarket.

The property has been lovingly renovated retaining a vast array of original features without being too formal - no priceless antiques for parents of young children to worry about! Both properties are furnished in a period style in keeping with their rustic surroundings and provide lots of little luxuries that make a holiday here something quite special. The owners particularly welcome families with children and have concentrated on making it a fantastic and safe place for everyone to have a relaxed, laid-back and wonderful holiday. Rent one or two wings or all three properties for parties of up to 26 people.

It’s the perfect destination for a family summer holiday, a weekend reunion of friends and family and is also a romantic winter retreat or as an idyllic base for an activity holiday all the year round with so much on offer in the region including golf, fishing, cycling, hiking, walking, motocross, quadbiking, horse riding and green-laning as well as historical sites such as the landing beaches and numerous chateaux to visit.

There are numerous theme parks within reach to delight the children as well as plenty of other child-friendly activities. Many of our summer guests come back in the winter months to make the most of the beautiful countryside and to enjoy the natural beauty of the region which has so much to offer all the year round. There are several riding schools in the area, catering for everyone from age three upwards. There is lots of fishing in the region. There are two quad biking tracks within 10 minutes drive.

There are many fantastic brocantes every Sunday during the summer – highly recommended and a great and very French day out for all the family. There is golf at Le Touquet, Dieppe and Abbeville. There are wonderful cycle paths, walks and picnicking areas in the forest of Eu, two minutes away. There is amazing wildlife to watch. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants in the area. There are expansive pebble beaches at Criel-sur-Mer and Mers-les-Bain and sandy beaches at Le Crotoy. There’s the bird sanctuary to visit at Marquenterre. There’s a great fish market and a casino at Le Treport. There’s a water park, Bagatelle, near le Touquet. Paris can easily be done in a day trip. The Chateau and Cottage are situated on the edge of the traditional rural village of Grandcourt, just 2 minutes drive from the stunning Forest of Eu. The village has one grocery shop/post office, a bar and a bakery! The nearest market towns are less than 10 minutes drive away and the pretty cities of Dieppe and Abbeville are both 30 minutes drive. The nearest beach is 15 minutes drive away and Paris is a 2.5 hour drive. For those crossing the Channel into Calais from the UK, it's only a 1.5 hour drive from the ferry port, making it an easy weekend destination from London. There is plenty to do for visitors in the local area and many fabulous reasonably priced restaurants.

Prices include all usual extras such as pool heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, hot water, champagne welcome pack, dressing gowns for the adults, toiletries and body lotion. If you would like our economy package without the bed linens, towels, starter kitchen consumables, toiletries and welcome packs then you can deduct Β£320 from the weekly rental rate.
